24.01.2022 It's a bugga trying to retrofit the Coaster control cassette into the Bedford cab.

23.01.2022 I have recently acquired a very tired mid to late seventies Toyota Coaster bus. The bus has already been converted to a Holden red motor so the possibility is open to enhance that with a V6-8. I have done a couple of photo shops for a conversion into a bike transport vehicle but am really leaning toward a complete body of conversion into a COE ( Cabin Over Engine ) tray or ute. Here are a couple of ideas.

19.01.2022 Have been moving along with the truck project and I have realized that I am not going to get it as low as it needs to be, so I have bit the bullet and aquired the L300 you can see here. This will enable me to transplant the IFS and the diff to get it down. Now I have to take it all apart again, also I have decided on the wheel setup you can see the moon cap, I got a full set at the Maldon swap last weekend.

17.01.2022 So the vision is slowly coming together. A couple more nicks here and there, drop the cab another 150-200 mm and we have the basic concept. It's turning out pretty much as I saw it in my head but a whole lot more work than I expected.

17.01.2022 I know black is not officially a colour but added it to the land speed bike anyway.

16.01.2022 The latest pics showing the cab in place and the integration of the Toyota grill, bumper and headlights with the Bedford cab. To see it all coming together as I saw the idea in my mind is great, " anyone would think I know what I am doing " The cab can only be placed in this position, I would have liked it to sit lower but this is not possible without massive alteration to the Toyota chassis, floor height in fact everything. I am fabricating the front and rear cab mounts and then I can put it back in the shed. I don't want to chop the roof height as this is a budget build and that would require all new glass, I may look at rear lowering blocks and a flip kit up front which means placing the front beam axle on top of the leaf spring instead of under them as it is at present.

16.01.2022 Anyone sick and tired of the need to bolt those ugly racks to your ride just so you can carry the occasional six pack. Check out my solution, Just clips in place of the pillion seat pad. Will be putting on an upright bar to fasten the gear sack to and the out riggers prevent the panniers from rubbing on the bodywork.True means you have to go solo, So that's another win :)

15.01.2022 Got the cab off the trailer, Thanks Wacka. Then erected the gantry, Thanks Ian Moerman snr. Lifted the cab off the ground with electric winch, Thanks Alan Brett Clark. Now onto cutting the floor out.

14.01.2022 While I have been working on the truck project the salt race or speed attempt bike has not been neglected

13.01.2022 Finally got the cab home for the truck project, Could have done with a bigger trailer but we made it.

13.01.2022 Setting up at the Maldon swap, Tenting it tonight and it's going to be cold.

13.01.2022 Work is progressing on the rat truck, Experimenting with tribal scrolling, Checker plate deck,Grill detail and engine cover all underway.

11.01.2022 I have found a cab over body to install on the coaster chassis. The plan is now to build a rat rod low flat bed light truck to transport bikes etc. The following pics are not the actual body I have found but exactly the same vintage, The photo shopped one might be a little radical but gives the idea of my intentions.

11.01.2022 The VFR has come a long way, Still in mock up stage but is now painted in RC30 inspired colour scheme. Development work to begin shortly once I decide if it is to be Dirt drags, Strip or Dry lake bed speed trials.

11.01.2022 Please like this page and never ever miss another great Maldon swap meet again. Well it’s that time of year again. The 5th annual Maldon QB Swap Meet will be he...ld at the Maldon Racecourse Reserve on Sunday 10th June. Over 170 stalls loaded with all sorts of goodies. Stallholders from 4 states will be trying to tempt you with exotic hard to find items and bargains. We also have plenty of room for new stallholders if you would like to give selling a try. Sites are only $20 for a 6X5 metre stall. Or if you’ve found yourself with a shed to clean out or a house lot to try and sell, don’t have a garage sale just throw it in the trailer or the ute and grab a site or two. No pre-booking is required. Saturday set up is welcome and advisable, and we are an all weather event. We have 80 acres to fill so why not come along and try your luck. All the publics parking is ON THE VENUE, so no hiking for miles back to your car. Food will also be on sale at the venue. Find us at www.maldonevents.com See more

10.01.2022 A detailed write-up on the Konig 500 boat engined GP machine that took on MV.

09.01.2022 I have made a start on the truck project, I have settled on a design utilizing the cut down rear section of the Coaster bodywork and hopefully the front bumper and grill. The rendering is my intention and a pic of the coaster I have started with, The Bedford cab is the actual cab I have sourced. I am going to keep the Holden 202 to keep costs down and have already consulted an engineer / Vass signatory

06.01.2022 So F/B has been bugging me to update. So here we have my new ride. 1520 cc 6 cylinder Honda Valkyrie 110 hp 136 ft ilb;s torque. sweet cruiser ? with attitude.

06.01.2022 Decided to have a go at something a little different. I have long toyed with the idea of doing another four wheeled project. Some will remember this Range Rover that with help was converted into a beast of a ute and have regretted selling since the day I did. I will explain more in following posts :)

05.01.2022 Have made loads of progress on the rat truck project, Finished the spare wheel carrier, sourced and fitted checker plate capping for the tops of the cargo area, Fitted the fuel tank and filler and de-skinned the front ready for grafting on the Bedford cabin. Also a new rendering to visualize what it should look like completed.

05.01.2022 I have been up to a little mischief in the shed and in a move that is not unbeknown for me I have completely re-modeled the VFR street fighter project. The paint work is only photo shopped at the moment MEET THE VFR70R ( RC30) ) CLONE SAND DRAGGER

03.01.2022 Sat down today with a thought, I might race the SV650s on the salt and build myself a cool street bike out of the VFR750f that I had been building for that purpose. Nothing new for me to do a complete 360. So I downloaded a pic of a bare frame and started to paint the concept on my PC. Here's what I have come up with.
