24.01.2022 Tomorrow is a busy day for the school: Junior Leo's Brekky first, followed by the RACQ visit with "Streets Ahead" program for all classes. TAG is on as usual and students have a "Dress-Up" day. Looking forward to seeing lots of colour.

24.01.2022 In light of the current COVID-19 policies for the Greater Townsville area meetings (or any gathering) at our Lions Den will require wearing of masks for the next 14 days. Please arrange to have a mask with you whenever you attend our Den, particularly for our next meeting on the 13th. We are also now registered for the Check In Qld app. Please use it by scanning the QR code to check in at the Lions Den. If you are unable to download the app on a smart phone, pair up with someone else who can check you in as their guest. If there is any futher instructions we will post them for you.

23.01.2022 It’s almost been a month since our office was damaged in a fire from a neighbouring building. With the boardroom, bathrooms and kitchen badly damaged and the re...st of the office affected by smoke and water, we made the decision to find a temporary location while repairs are underway. We are pleased to now be fully operational at our temporary location in Broadmeadow, Newcastle. Our team have worked hard to ensure a smooth transition given the somewhat challenging circumstances. Club Supplies is now back up and running and we would like to thank those waiting on orders for your patience during this time. Thank you to Little Green Frog for our new (temporary) signage! 14.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT // THANK YOU! Brighter Lives hosted our Inaugural Giving Day, yesterday, Thursday 19 November. In a first for an NQ charity, we aimed to raise $7...0,000 in one day of giving. The campaign featured Hope Manser, 5 years old, who was born at TUH and receives ongoing treatment here in Townsville. As of this morning, we have raised over $90,000!!!! We smashed our target of $70,000 just before 3pm yesterday. We can't thank our community enough! 07.01.2022 This September, Lions clubs are raising awareness of childhood cancer. Since its inception in 2009, Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation (ALCCR...F), with the help of people just like you, has raised over $10 million dollars for childhood cancer research and has supported countless Australian organisations leading the fight against childhood cancer. Of particular significance has been the partnership with Garvan Institute of Medical Research, where ALCCRF and Lions Clubs International helped to fund the genome sequencing of 400 children with high risk cancer, allowing for more tailored treatment plans to be developed and giving kids with cancer a better chance at recovery and the childhood they deserve. https://alccrf.lions.org.au/lions-kids-cancer-genome-proje/

This is an excellent initiative from our wonderful young people, but they need your support, please. Any non-perishable food item gratefully accepted. A collection box can be found at the Rollingstone Community Centre's RTC and Hall.
