25.01.2022 Hay on the ground this week as the crops runs out of moisture with no finishing rains thank god we got some earlier in the season

25.01.2022 Wow it has been a very busy time with shows and everything else going on with hay and cattle work. We had a Very successful Royal Melbourne Show with Roly Park Porsha taking Grand Champion Female and Supreme Exhibit for the Australian Shorthorns. Roly Park Tasmania took out the Grand Champion Bull and was 3rd in interbreed senior bull. Roly Park was equal 4th in the interbreed Breeders group competition and Porsha was 7th in the interbreed heifer. This year has been the most ...competitive we have been in the interbreed classes with our breeding program heading in the right direction. Reserve Junior Champion Bull was Roly Park Pluto who was our 3rd animal in our breeders group. Roly Park was awarded Most Successful Exhibitor for the Australian Shorthorns. We also exhibited a steer which was the highest placed Shorthorn Carcass in the competition 4th in the Domestic 300kg -400kg class. He was also a part of the Australian Shorthorn Borthwick team that had the 2nd highest points in the hook section of the Borthwick competition. We would like to thank and Sarah Sutton and Phoebe McMillan for looking after the steer at the show and then backing it up the next week with Emily Ash for the stud Cattle. You girls done a great job looking after the cattle. A huge Thank you too Paul Horn and Daniel Porter and the rest of the team for clipping and fitting the team they looked spot on and you guys do an amazing job. Thanks to Darcey Swan for the endless amount of time you put into our cattle all year round, Seth and Axel are learning so much from you. Thanks to Fiona Swan for feeding us all at the show and some nights at home. Thank you to everyone that has helped us out over the past few moths.

23.01.2022 What a day yesterday with the Shorthorn World Congress and judging of the Shorthorn family. We had a sensational day with Roly Park Porsha taking out Supreme Exhibit in the Australian Shorthorns after going awarded junior and Grand Champion female. Roly Park Tasmania was the Senior and Grand Champion bull also Roly Park Pluto was Reserve junior Champion bull.

21.01.2022 Its been a busy few days with Finley show on Sunday and into Adelaide show last night/ this morning. We had a great show at Finley with a great number of quality exhibits it was a good chance to trace the team out for there first show for the season. We were over the moon to have Roly Park Porsha be awarded interbreed junior champion heifer and Roly Park Tasmania interbreed senior champion bull we also took out the interbreed pair of bulls an interbreed group of 3 and 2nd in the pair of heifers. It was a great show and great to catch up with everyone there

Star is a sound free moving young sire with plenty of length and thickness that is typical of the Stockman progeny. Out of great cow line he has a bombproof temperament and has been suc...cessfully shown receiving Reserve Junior champion at Sydney Royal this year. 18.01.2022 Well it’s not the way we wanted to end 2019 or see in 2020 loosing over 100 bales and the hay shed. Thank you so much to the Lake Boga and Swan Hill CFA crews that seen in the New Year while putting out the hay shed fire and protecting the stock in the paddock surrounding it. Thanks to everyone that helped out that night and the next day. Thank you to Darcey Swan for working through the night and next day with me to get fencing down and out of the road to get the smouldering hay all out and pulling down the remaining roof of the shed to avoid any more damage.

11.01.2022 This heifer was set to go for her first royal show in Sydney she has turned a lot of heads at our local shows here earlier in the year. She's a half sister to Roly Park Porsha

11.01.2022 With the year seemingly flying by we nearly forgot about one of the highlights of our year being Sydney Royal. We attended with ten head and were very pleased to have all stud animals receive a ribbon with over 70 head of Shorthorn exhibits making for a great show. Heifer 12-15 months 1st Roly Park Duchess Portia 4th Roly Park Pearla Cow 24-30 months 2nd Roly Park Mel ... Bull 12-15 months Roly Park Pluto 1st Roly Park Phoenix 2nd Bull 24-30 months 1st Roly Park Mr Tasmania Also had a nice surprise in the post this week receiving the Carcase ribbons from the steers we exhibited this year. Great to get some really positive feed back on our carcasses with 2 out of our steers receiving bronze medals as well as one being a member of the Shorthorn Stan Hill team which was awarded 3rd place.

10.01.2022 Exciting results from the Swan hill show hoof and hook 2020 with the red steer placing 2nd to the champion steer on the hook in the light weight class 300-400kg. And the white steer has set us a new record receiving a score of 48.2, the highest scoring of the Comp out of a possible 50 for eating quality points. We also had the highest MSA marbling score of the Comp with a hiefer scoring 520. Very happy with how this lot of animals performed on the hook

09.01.2022 Earlier this month we exhibited one of our heifers at the Shorthorn heifer show held in Dubbo. She was awarded Reserve Champion Senior Heifer. One of our highest achievements so far with there being many high quality Shorthorn heifers on show. Thank you Sarah Sutton for attending with Roly Park Duchess Porsha and congratulation on being awarded Reserve Champion handler in the competition too.

06.01.2022 We had our first run out for the year at Rochester show on Saturday with it being the first time out for 8 of the 10 animals. They performed very well with Roly Park Qorvette winning the under 12 months class of 15 exhibits she also went on to be the Reserve Junior champion heifer and one the best two heifers with Quartz. Roly Park Quadrant one the 12monthe and under bull class we also exhibited 5 led steers we were awarded 1st and 2nd in the steer class. Thanks to Darcy Swan,Emily Ash, Seth an Axel and Tiffany Schwencke for all the help to get them all through the judging ring.

04.01.2022 Roly park Duchess Porsha took out Supreme Exhibit at the Bendigo show last weekend. She also teamed up with Roly park Pluto to be awarded the interbreed male/ female junior pair. Pluto was also awarded the champion bull in the junior classic and Porsha reserve champion in the junior classic. Porsha and Quarts took out the interbreed pair of females. Well done to Seth who came 3rd in the junior handlers competition
