25.01.2022 A productive afternoon at the field with Ken and Doug working on the tables and Ken doing more levelling on the strip , followed by resurrecting Dougs Boomerang 60 /120 ...20cc. Previously the ignition was generating stray rf which was causing the servos to jitter badly. After being out of action for quite some time the problem has been fixed and the plane is flying nicely again

07.01.2022 Members of the Roma Historical Motor Club used the facilities of Model Flying Field to hold their monthly meeting, as an open area was required due to Covid 19 requirements. All RADAC members had finished the Sunday flying session and left. Ken Dawes is the Secretary of both clubs, that's my blue 1927 Oldsmobile with the trailer attached in one of the photos.

03.01.2022 Had a great day today at the flying field. David Collins, an ex Roma club member from 8 years ago was working in Roma for the week and came out for a fly. Also out was Kris, Brent and Evan. The Roma Scout troop were camping and canoeing at Lake Neverfill and Kris invited them for a look. They were all very interested in the various types of models being flown. Ken gave a talk on his various models, Evan gave a talk on model helicopters and David spoke on his career with ...the Royal Flying Doctor Service and how his interest in model aircraft lead to a career in aviation. The scouts and leaders all listened intently and thanked everyone for the information and day. I (Ken) also talked to the troop Leader about the MAAA Delta Dart model building program so we will be doing some work with them in the near future. A great day's flying and lots of fellowship. 03.01.2022 I caught up with Tony Paynter, our Charleville member today and had a fly at the field out there. A nice spot on a property with a clay pan on the Adavale Road about 20 km out of town. It was a bit windy so Tony only had one flight of his Boomerang and I had a flight of the F27 and Bonsai, could get it flying backwards in the wind at times. Might have a chance for another fly when we get further west. Ken D
