25.01.2022 So ive had the pleasure of working on this green machine, new radiator, trans cooler, gearbox and few lil tune up bits... off to yettis for the exhaust fix next week absolutely love the color of this car in person

25.01.2022 How to read a oil dip stick 101. I often go to people and show them this trick i thought everyone knew already but apparently not so here it is. Dip sticks all have marks at the end of them, some have notches and most cross-hatching with a full mark. The cross hatch is 1lt of oil ... E.g in the pics one has no oil and one is about half way up the cross hatch. Therefore half a liter of oil will fill it to the top! If you check the oil and its not even on the dip stick, then add 1lt of oil at a time till it starts to show up on the cross-hatch. See more

25.01.2022 I can feel summer coming!!! Finally got a chance to give the big girl a bubble bath and shes looking the goods again. Dont forget about your car services! 23.01.2022 Its that time of season where all the tree sperm is in the air making you sneeze!! Most cars have a pollen filter inside the car to filter out such muck coming into the cabin, in this picture we have a old one on top and a new one under it... I check these out on every service i do, so not to worry.

23.01.2022 Soooo the old "since you serviced my car" trick.... I don't get this to often, but it does still happen and guess what? You own a CAR!! Cars are pieces of shit that break all the time, it's a mechanical thing that requires maintaining. Some times cars just like to be mean and shit themselves after a service... Why.? It's a car ... But in saying that, if it's something I have done I will 100% all of the time fix it with no charge to you! Have a great weekend everyone

22.01.2022 So was in repco checking out the specials.... seen this beast n couldn't help but buy it.. so if anyone has a 70mm bolt i got just the right tool for the job

17.01.2022 Out in the great weather today doing a major service on this crewman ute. Auto trans service Platinum spark plugs Clean K&N air filter Throttle body clean... Adjusted handbrake, to make it work again Engine flush and oil n filter change. ****fun fact***** platinum spark plugs are more expensive eg $25 each compared to generic plugs at $6 each... Platinum plugs generally last 100,000 km where generic plugs are recommended to be changed every 40,000 km

17.01.2022 Part 3 Well bottom end is all in ready to go, new bearings and rings. The red stuff is assembly lube for the first start before it gets oil pressure ... next will be when it starts to look more like a engine with the heads going on.

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, I'm going to try do a build up of this triton over the next few weeks/months.... Sooo the story goes.. I acquired this car through a quote and ended up buying it reasonably cheap as a fixer upper. Anyway diagnosed it as a cooked motor, over heated pretty bad. So it needs a freshen up ... Ill be putting up pics as i go of the rebuild for anyone that wants to follow Feel free to ask questions as i go This is the car how i got it in the pics.

15.01.2022 Hey everyone, just a reminder that im still roman around the place fixing cars, so flick us a msg and book your car in for some love.

15.01.2022 The good ol timing belt... Most cars that have one, should be changed every 80,000km to 100,000km.. If this belt breaks your gunna be up for big dollars to fix the mess it makes, Just cheaper to get it done and then you have piece of mind for another 100,000km! Unsure if you have a timing belt? Send me a msg and i can let you know, specially if your odometer is in the 100s of km.

14.01.2022 Hey all you amazing people!! I have finally got my google account up and running and it would be great if you guys could write a review when you have a spare minute. All reviews will get a discount on your next service

13.01.2022 Well this motor has nearly 300,000km on the clock and still looks this clean! Amazing the difference regular oil changes make with the right oil and good quality fuel. Dont forget your car has feelings too!!

12.01.2022 A customer asked me how much it cost to change a clutch.... I answered him: $ 1500 He said: So expensive for this job? I asked: How much do you think it would cost you? He answers me: $ 800 maximum... That's a pretty simple job right? !"... - For $ 800 I invite you to do it yourself. - But.... I don't know how to. - For $800 I'll teach you how to. So besides saving you $700, you'll get the knowledge for the next time you want - It seemed right to him and he agreed. - But to get started: you need tools: A jack, stands, toolbox, etc... - But I don't have all these equipment and I can't buy all of these for one job. - Well then for another $250 more I'll rent my stuff to you so you can do it. - Okay, he says. - Okay! Tuesday I'm waiting for you to start doing this work - But I can't on Tuesday I only have time today. - I'm sorry, but I'm only available Tuesday to teach you and lend you my stuff. Other days are busy with other customers. - Okay! That means I'm going to have to sacrifice my Tuesday, give up my tasks. - Okay! Ill make time and we can do it at 6am - At 6??? Nope! Too early for me! I used to getting up later. ... - You know, I've been thinking. You get the job done. I'd rather pay you the $1500. If I had to, it wouldn't be perfect and it would cost me a lot more. When you pay for a job, especially handcrafted, you pay not only for the material used, but also: - Knowledge - Experience - Study - Tools - Services - Time to go - punctuality - Accountability - Professionalism - Accuracy - Guaranteed - Patents - Sacrifices - Safety and security - Payment of tax obligations No one can denigrate other people's work by judging prices. Only by knowing all the elements necessary for the production of a certain work can you estimate the actual cost. I did not write this dialogue, but am sharing it to support craftsmen and entrepreneurs shits not cheap.

Also my 5lt block sitting there waiting for a bath before the build starts I love building engines and I've had a couple of nice ones turn out in the past so fingers crossed these last the hard life they have ahead of them
