25.01.2022 At Romanos Consulting we tailor our products to meet the individual needs of our clients and their particular development. From electrical to fire detection and alarm systems design, we consider all things needed for a successful and compliant build. Last year Kela Building Group engaged us to complete the design and certification of the electrical services for the new Harbison Dementia Care Unit. Thank you to Kela Building Group for providing splendid photographs of this now completed facility.

13.01.2022 A peek into some generator load testing at one of our client’s sites. We were involved to assess the alternative/essential supply capabilities for the site in the event of a power outage. Although generator testing is not part Romanos Consulting’s standard services, we aim to go above and beyond to ensure client’s expectations are met or exceeded. In this specific case, generator testing proved slightly difficult to schedule given that there was no load data information avail...able or load banks installed to ensure gensets were loaded to approximately at least 30% of their capacity, preferably 50%. Running gensets without sufficient load continuously can lead to wet stacking which decreases the performance and life of the asset. Romanos Consulting aims to provide clients with tailored electrical building services designs and services to meet their specific needs. This video gives you an idea of how noisy these relatively 100kVA and 165kVA gensets can be.

13.01.2022 In recent times we have witnessed the extent of some significant building defects within Australia. The most prominent include the evacuation of Sydney’s Opal Tower on Christmas Eve of 2018 and a similar situation at Mascot Towers. Engineers Australia has put together a webinar into the seriousness of building defects within Australia, the financial implications, and the potential measures to stop these issues happening in the future. This webinar is free to all Engineers Au...stralia members and is also available to be purchased by others who would be interested at a small cost. We recommend this webinar to all professionals within the building services and construction industry. It provides great insight into the context of the current situation of building defects in some of the construction industry and the status of changes to eliminate these issues.

10.01.2022 Another financial year is done and dusted! With new staff members, new projects, new offices and new connections, Romanos Consulting has polished off another financial year. We would like to thank all of our suppliers, clients and supporters for making 2019/20 possible. Also, an enormous thank you to all of our staff members for being the fuel to our engine. We couldn't have done it without you. ... We hope everyone hasn't aged as much as Bryan Cranston. Happy end of financial year!
