25.01.2022 Perhaps the slight mist and chance of rain kept numbers down this morning with 28 committed participants towing the line and out of those 11 first timers to our course. Congratulations to visitor Jackson Elliott and Roma Parkrun regular Dallas Price (Kay Price) on PB’s, great effort with water hazards and all. We had visitors from Macay down to Devonport TAS and in between. Thank you and safe travels. A big thank you to this week’s volunteers, Parkrun can’t happen with out you. Thelma and Rhee, Mardi Henricks and Team Cross. Volunteering is easy, fun and a great way to give back so if you can please let us know and we’ll get you on the roster. Have a great weekend.

24.01.2022 Get excited! Only 2 more sleeps until Roma Parkrun returns I know it is something we have all been waiting for and we look forward to seeing everyone there. In case you have forgotten: - Parkrun starts at 7.00am (but please arrive by 6.50am for the pre-run briefing) - we meet over the train bridge at the Big Rig at our new table and chairs thanks to Maranoa Regional Council ... - ensure you have registered and printed your barcode (no barcode = no time) here is the link if you need to register https://www.parkrun.com.au/register/ A couple of new things to note: - you will have to sign in using the QR code - there can be no high-fiving or spitting due to COVID but feel free to yell, scream and clap each other on - please remember to keep you 1.5m social distancing and stay home if you are unwell Grab a friend, colleague and your family, and get to parkrun on Saturday morning. All abilities are welcome, no runner/walker is too slow or fast. See you there!

22.01.2022 Well done to our 43 parkrunners who got out there and enjoyed the cooler morning. Welcome to our first timer Darcy - great to see you joining the rest of your running family. Congratulations to Jordan, Tom, Amber, Jake, Mardi, Deon, Rhonda, Phelo, Cathy and Jess on your new personal bests. A big thank you to our volunteers - without you parkrun would not happen - Kealey, Billy, Grant, Gabby and great job Janet on your first successful role as Run Director. 13.01.2022 Please find on this image the QR code for contact tracing purposes at Roma parkrun. You can use this code to check in from the car, or on your phone before you arrive. There will also be some physical copies for scanning at parkrun as well. Just open your camera over the image and it will pick it up so that you can enter your details.

09.01.2022 On a beautiful foggy morning we had 39 park runners take to the start line. Congratulations to those who achieved a PB Harry, Emerson, Pip, Carter, Spencer and Sammy-Jo Joliffe. Thank you once again to our valued volunteers Rox, Chrissy Gould, Mick Henricks, Paula and Gabby.

05.01.2022 And we are back! Congratulations to the 48 parkrunners who participated this morning and enjoyed the water mister provided by the Harland Family. Great idea to keep our parkrun community cool. 11 people recorded new Pb's - Rikki, Miranda, Kieran, Leilani, Janet, Ross, Deon, Lizette, Lucy, Shraddha and Lauren. Well done! Welcome to our first timers - Rhonda, Tyler, Cathy, Jess and Ben. Thank you so much to those who put their hand up to volunteer today - Paula, Bernie, Gabby, Brianna, Tony and Rox.
