25.01.2022 Meet Stoffel and Joy, our gorgeous desexed male and female (not desexed) pair. They are around 10 months old and super cuddly. Our piggies require a mostly indoor home due to temperature extremes and predators. If you can give these piggies a spacious home with unlimited hay, good food and veggies please send us a PM. Thanks Mel for fostering these lovely piggies.

25.01.2022 Hello everyone, you may have recently seen our rescue take a bit of a battering on social media over alleged unfair treatment. We just wanted to reassure you that everything we do is in the best interests of the bunnies. We do it all for them. Obviously there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than was being disclosed. We would never, ever willingly separate bonded rabbits. We would, however, remove a bunny from a situation where we couldn't be sure they were going to ...receive the right medical attention, or where we hadn't received crucial information that could affect our bunnies' life before a trial started. And when the people who bend over backwards to help us and our buns are unfairly treated, we must step in and protect them, and the bunnies in our care. Thank you to those of you who defended us and realised that it was a situation that should never have been discussed on social media the way it was. We, and the bunnies, are so grateful for your continued support See more

21.01.2022 Adopted!!! We are thrilled to announce the adoption of Bandit, now re-named Ivy. Ivy is the new love of Chelsea Tutt. Ivy is a cheeky little miss, who loves to zoom around the house doing binkies and getting into mischief. Little Ivy has taken over the whole house, including the dog's couch and Chelsea's bed Ivy loves to follow mum around the house, especially when she is in places that she isn't supposed to be. She gives the funniest little butt twitches in d...elight when she is getting up to no good or having a yummy piece of banana. We are so thrilled that Chelsea has given Ivy a new forever home and we would like to say a huge Thank You to Samantha Goodchild for fostering her whilst she was waiting for her forever home.

18.01.2022 UPDATE: The same lovely foster carer who took in Cherry and Blossom (our 'bin bunnies') is going to give this sweet boy a chance. This sweet little boy is called Raisin, and he and his brother Rum were surrendered to our rescue. Rum had extensive injuries to his back legs and sadly couldn't be saved. We need a special carer who can give this poor little grieving boy a loving foster home, and be patient with him until he learns to trust. If you'd like to give Raisin a chance at a better life, please pm us. Indoor penned area home, and located within the Perth metro area

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone As you are probably well aware, Romeo's Rabbit Rescue combined with Saving Thumpers, SAFE & RSPCA WA rescued over 100 rabbits from shocking living conditions. But for us at Romeo's this is not just a one off. We constantly have rabbits being surrendered or rescued every day. We currently have OVER 120 Rabbits looking for new Furever homes and some will be permanent fosters because of chronic health issues.... So to help raise funds for all the Rabbits in our care, we have some beautiful Shopping Bags below for Sale. They're wonderful and unique items that can be given as: Christmas presents (Only 22 Days Left) and be used as Santa bags for keeping presents in instead of stockings or sacks. They can be thank you gifts (for looking after your furbabies) or used as craft (knitting) bags or a bag to carry music books in. The uses are only limited by your imagination. The shopping bags are $35.00, and we've also included 3 large reusable fresh produce bags as well, made from recycled sheer curtain material. The shopping bag is: 40cms x 47cms. The produce bags are: 31cms x 31cms (large). All items below were hand made just for Romeo's. All bags are fully lined with wide shoulder straps for a comfortable feel. The shopping bag pack can be collected from Balga, or postage & handling can be arranged at buyers cost of $10.50. Your purchase will be sent in an Australia Post tough bag, and other items can be added up to 5kgs. So there will be room for more than just 1 Shopping Bag if you wish (this item is classified as "small" by Australia Post. We do not make any money from the postage). Please type SOLD in the comments section of the shopping bag you wish to purchase & P&H if required. ie: Xmas Dogs + P&H. If you are interested in a particular bag but all have SOLD, type in NIL (next in line) & if one of the sales falls through I will contact you. 17.01.2022 Adopted Romeo's Rabbit Rescue is thrilled to announce the adoption of Mae by the lovely Sylvia Soltyk. 11.01.2022 How precious is this darling little girl who was surrendered today? 'Pumpernickel' has headtilt and will need to have some tests done to see what's going on, and will most likely need a permanent foster carer. She's the sweetest, cuddliest little bun ever

08.01.2022 Look at this cutie-patootie affectionately named Tubby Tubby is a super affectionate bun & loves coming and sitting on the couch when his foster carer gets home from work. He loves pats especially on his little cheeks! Not a big fan of being picked up though. Tubby loves to eat everything including charges and lamp cords . He can be quite playful with his bell ( will go and collect it when you throw it) and also has fallen in love with his foster carer's slipper and often carries it around. If you think you'd like to adopt this sweetie, please message us. Strictly indoor home only and Perth metro area

08.01.2022 Today marks a significant day for Romeo's Rabbit Rescue. After a lengthy and involved process we are proud to announce that Romeo's Rabbit Rescue Inc is officially registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Our journey began in March 2019 when another rescue closed down suddenly leaving many bunnies with no place to go. We started Romeo's with 35 rabbits, zero dollars, no funding and no idea exactly what we were getting ourselves int...o. Since then we have never looked back. Running a rescue is extremely challenging, exhausting, wonderful and rewarding. Sometimes there is no clear right or wrong answer. Our team is absolutely committed to always do our best with open minds and hearts for the benefit of every bunny. We will continue learning and growing every day. We have worked incredibly hard to be where we are now and we could not have done it without the love and support from the community. Thank you to each and every one of you who have reached out to help and encourage us in the work we do We look forward to many years of rescue. Three cheers for Romeo's: Hop-hop-hooray! Hop-hop-hooray!! Hop-hop-HOORAY!!!

08.01.2022 Has anyone lost a bunny in Balcatta? Please pm us for the finders' details if this is your bunny. Proof of ownership is required

06.01.2022 A tremendous thank you to everyone who has donated, put their hand up to foster, made offers of transport and sent us encouraging messages. What a massive effort from everyone!! I think we are set up with enough carers for this first lot of buns thanks to you guys But please hold tight as we are likely to have many pregnant females from this horrible situation and will very soon be needing people to open their homes for fostering again. Just thank you so much for caring about these innocent little furbabies

06.01.2022 Congratulations to the lovely girls Biscuits and Charcoal, (now named Cocoa Pop) who have found their forever home. These sweet buns have been adopted by Bernadette Littlewood and her family. Biscuits and Cocoa Pop love playing with their tunnels and snuffle mats when they aren't busy lapping up all the attention from their humans. What a wonderful outcome for these girls. A big thank you to Brandon for taking such wonderful care of these sweethearts while they were waiting for their forever home

05.01.2022 We're a bit behind with our adoption posts but are striving to catch up! First up is our beautiful Lucy, who's been adopted by Romie Lee and her lovely family, and is being spoilt and just looks so happy. Romie says that Lucys' been such a blessing, and has brightened up their lives. It makes our day doing posts like this, and seeing that our bunnies or piggies have gone to amazing families that will love and care for them. Special thanks to Emily-may and Brent for fostering Lucy

03.01.2022 Superhero shoutout to two amazing rescue volunteers who went on a 2 1/2 hour trip at 9.00pm to save a bunny. Emily-May and Brent went above and beyond, and also followed the necessary safety protocols. The happy ending this little bunny gets, will be because of them! Thankyou so much from all of us at Romeo's
