23.01.2022 Stage 2 of the Romsey Ecotherapy Park is about to commence. Exciting plans with open space, sensory park areas and with disability access a focus. Open to every...one, passive and active areas. We know it will connect the residents of Romsey and also draw people to Romsey from all areas. The volunteers have kept this project front of mind and have been active since 2008. We thank them and are so looking forward to completion. This stage has $1.5 million funding from the State Government through Regional Development Victoria ($718,000), Macedon Ranges Shire Council ( $702,000) and Romsey Lancefield Branches of the Bendigo Bank ($80,000). 18.01.2022 ART IN THE PARK PHILANTHROPIC FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN The prospectus for this campaign is being drafted and will itemise the various types of art installations needing funding so that potential donors can choose what their contribution will support. It will be launched in July/August to fund the art installations in the Park.... It will initially be open to the Romsey region’s founding families and their descendents who may be looking for an ongoing connection to the town. For more information email: [email protected]

13.01.2022 The need for outdoors in nature respite has been highlighted during the COVID-19 lockdown period. It underscores the value of Romsey Ecotherapy Park and what is yet to come! We're very excited to announce that Stage 2 planning is underway. This will include: - The Sensory Therapeutic Space (sensory gardens, reflection spaces, water feature, rocky gorge etc) and Arts Culture Open Space (for performances, art installations, artisan markets). Also includes a picnic/BBQ area.... - Romsey Ecotherapy Park Inc, as the community group working in partnership with Council to deliver Stage 2, is represented on the Project Reference Group which has begun to meet monthly. - Landscape architects will undertake the lengthy detailed design process this year with tendering and construction to commence in 2021. 12.01.2022 As one of the last local public events before COVID-19 lockdown, the Picnic in the Park and Movie Under The Stars showcased the future potential of the Romsey Ecotherapy Park. A wonderful musical program, curated by Gabriel Macura and including the Voices of Romsey choir, was followed by the Movie Under The Stars (Aladdin). Kerri Mewett designed the Sensory Therapeutic marquee which gave an insight into features of the upcoming Sensory Therapeutic Space. A free sausage sizzle... was funded by Romsey Supa IGA. Food and refreshments stalls were provided by Soltan Pepper, Ice Cream Man, Zara’s Coffee Van and Twista Bros.
