12.01.2022 A small farm in the heart of Ned Kelly country is now available to hire for weekends and longer if required. This 73 acre property with a 90 year old home is in the north east of Victoria, approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and 12 minutes from Winton Race Track. The home has evaporative central cooling with high ceilings, two open fire places, combustion/wood stove in a modern kitchen, electric appliances and large kitchen area. The house comprises of four bedrooms for 10... people, 1 bath room, 1 shower room, 1 outside toiletand fully furnished lounge room which includes TV and open fire place to keep you snuggly warm in winter. The house features a large sunroom with table seating for 12 people, TV and audio equipment, large bar. Views from the sunroom include the local farm and snowfields which you can enjoy from the large glass windows. Go outside to the spacious decking and enjoy the glorious views of this magnificent valley where the homestead and farm is situated. The decking that surrounds the three sides of the homestead includes a BBQ area, viewing deck and secluded promenade deck. All three decks ensure great views of the farm, animals and the local country side. The homestead offers spacious car parking, with undercover covering for 5 vehicles. The farm is a registered land for Wildlife Property and all the local iconic Australian animals live on or pass through. These include kangaroos, koalas, wombats, echidnas, goannas etc. On the farm we have sheep, lambs, chickens, cattle, calves and Ben the alpaca. The abundant birdlife includes Kookaburras, Blue wrens, King parrots, Finches, Honeyeaters,Satin bowerbirds etc. which provide excellent birdwatching and photography opportunities. If you are a bushwalking or bicycling enthusiast person there are many tracks locally you can try out and enjoy the ride or walk. Information can be provided to you if requested. If you like relaxing, birdwatching, painting, photography, reading, feeding animals then Morning Glory is the place to visit.
