24.01.2022 Day 3. How very pleased Ron & Anne are that this event went off so well! We had 40 odd (pun intended!!) walkers do some or all of the 76ks from Yarraman to Toogoolawah. We're amazed at the effort & stick-ability of quite a few. The painful blisters some of them endured & the sore feet & muscles for all. Ron is very impressed with you all, you need to be proud of yourselves. An especially big thank-you to Out There Cycling who went over & above to transport everyone to & from... each day, thanks David & Josie. A big thank-you to Hav'A'Chat Cafe for opening a hour early for breakfast & coffee each day. Excellent meals provided for hungry walkers by Toogoolawah Hotel and Exchange Hotel Toogoolawah and a no fuss, nothings too much trouble early lunch by Harlin Hotel Motel There are others we've thanked on other posts too, thank-you to everyone who helped make this a memorable event See more

24.01.2022 Day 2 Done & Dusted. We're very proud of all the walkers who did the Benarkin to Moore section today. A few weary travellers, but well done Almost 50ks so far, we're guessing more than most have done in 2 days before, with just one 'easy' day tomorrow left Thanks to Debbie for the photos today Thanks to The Linville Hotel for a lovely lunch AND a big special thank-you to Deb for opening the Old Church Gallery Moore for refreshments on her day off.

24.01.2022 UPDATE:- Bus transfer details for the Down the Blackbutt Range Walk. 6:45am collection from Toogoolawah each morning at Hav'A'Chat Cafe ... Prices are $110 per person for all shuttles (this is a greatly reduced price for us) Individual trips are - Twah to Yarraman $30 Benarkin to Twah $25 Twah to Benarkin $25 Moore to Twah $15 Twah to Moore $15 David and or Josie from Out there Cycling will be at the Toogoolawah Hotel Sunday night (30th August) to take your money for the Bus, Cash or Eftpos available. Don’t forget 5.30 - 6pm at Toogoolawah Hotel for dinner

12.01.2022 What a momentous occasion that was, & a privilege to be there

10.01.2022 Just checking to see if everyone has booked their accommodation. I know quite a few of you have vans or campers & have booked into the showgrounds, but here a few other options. There are 2 Hotels in town which offer rooms, the Toogoolawah Hotel 54231314. The Exchange Hotel 54231151. Then there's the Toogoolawah Motel which is a little further away from our bus start, but pick up could possibly be arranged. 54232474. We have a pleasant air bnb in Rosemary Court, phone Rhonda on 0438767329. A few k's out of town is an air bnb fitted out in a train carriage 54232369, and another air bnb 3k out of town called "Cross Country Cottage" It's 2 bedroom & bookings are on www.airbnb.com.au Let's hope & pray that the virus doesn't spread to Qld anymore than it has & stop us from enjoying this great event. Less than 4 weeks to go now

07.01.2022 What a great effort today for the folk braving the heat to raise funds for the Nurinda Overpass Mural. There were 24 cyclists, 24 horse riders, 3 walkers & 2 runners, including my wife. Moore Supper Room put on a great morning tea for everyone and Brightsiders who are going to paint the mural did an interesting presentation. Can't wait to see the finished result. It will be a great improvement on the current graffiti!!

06.01.2022 Just 3 weeks to go! We have David & Josie of Out there Cycling working on getting the best price for our Bus transfers. They assure us that they have Hand Sanitiser and face masks on board & are COVID safe. Ron is checking in today with the Blackbutt Bakery and the Bunyanut Cafe for our lunch stop on Day 1 to make sure they're expecting our crowd!! We're excited & trust you all are too

04.01.2022 A lovely lady by the name of Desley who is coming on our walk would like a lift to Toogoolawah. She lives in Spring Hill, but is happy to catch a train either to north or south if someone could pick her up. I will PM anyone who can do it Desley's details. Thanks in advance.

02.01.2022 UPDATE: The Walk next week is ON! Out There Cycling has their COVID safe plan in place so it’s all systems go We need firm numbers for the dinner at the Toogoolawah Hotel next Sunday night the 30th August & for the bus leaving Hava Chat Cafe at 6:45 am Monday morning. Thanks
