13.01.2022 Just got home from Soundwave Melbourne (which obviously should have featured Truckfighters... but didn't... causing me to put an official request in with the Soundwave booking dude to get them on board next year). I proudly wore my Truckfighters hat all day and night as I watched/listened to/rocked out to/lost my shit to one after the other of some of the most brilliant, tight, 'rockingist' and down-right fucking wicked bands on the face of the planet (with the exception, of ...course, of the best band to ever exist, as previously mentioned). What a day! Kyuss and The Sword were my favourites. Metallica were sick too. Over the course of the day/night I constantly asked my fellow festival goer "do you know these cunts?" as I pointed to the name emblazoned brightly across my hat. The majority of rock lovers I asked had not heard of the band (which is, in my opinion, one of, if not THE biggest musically related shames of the 21st century) they could tell I felt strongly about by my response of "faaaaaaark" when I learnt of their, all too common, ignorance in the matter. I felt so privileged and excited to, briefly and passionately, share with them the thing that has reinvigorated and enhanced my love of music since discovering. In a few simple words I conveyed to them how important it was for them to discover for themselves who Truckfighters were. Borrowing the famous words of iconic Australian music Guru Ian "Molly" Meldrum, I simply said "do yourself a favour and check them out. They are fucking amazing". Considering most of my potential converts were almost as inebriated as myself, I encouraged them to take note of the name in their phone so as not to forget. I'd estimate I introduced close to 50 music appreciators to my favourite band in the world. I truly hope that they seek out a taste of Truckfighters' music as I have no doubt that if they do, they will assuredly understand why it was that a random, off-his-tits (yet awfully nice) stranger went out of his way to plant the seed of fucking wicked music in their souls. See more

11.01.2022 This is The Age's review of an old mate of ours' album. Have a read, then do yourselves a favour and buy the album.

08.01.2022 All the best to our beloved Hanna tomorrow as he takes the plunge and ties the knot in sunny Dromana. Apologies to all his female fans out there, he is no longer on the market. Sorry ladies. Good luck habibi...more importantly, good luck to his lovely bride to be, Karla... she's going to need it.

08.01.2022 Breaking news: This Saturday night we're performing in 3D!!! You'll think you can put your hands out and touch us... go ahead... try it

06.01.2022 I'm sure you've all heard the ball tinglingly exciting news... Truckfighters are coming to Melbourne!!!... Cherry Rock in fact... alongside Mr. Garcia and his merry men of Unida... but that's not the biggest news... the biggest news is that we have to pay 70 fuckin bucks to see our mates Battle AXE Howlers play!!

06.01.2022 Pumped to rockin out with Seedy Jeezus again... you gotta see these dudes. They. Are. Wicked!! It's been a year since we last joined forces and from what I've seen, and heard, on various videos and recordings, the bastards have gotten even better... if that's even possible!! Of course, also looking forward to playing with The Balls... this is the second time we've shared a stage with them... doesn't take a genius to work out why we wanted to play with them again. And of cours...e, last but by NO means least... The Underhanded... what can I say about them that hasn't already been said many times?... Come see for yourself why there's so much hype about these 4 kids from the coast... you won't be disappointed!! Oh yeah... and then there's us... we play rock music. Come. Drink. Listen. Smile. Cheers :)

04.01.2022 To most people Australia Day is celebrated with pride, beer and a BBQ. But too few are aware of how this date affects our indigenous people. Many countries celebrate their National Day on the day they became independent from colonisation. Australia chooses to celebrate their National Day as the day the First Fleet dropped anchor in Botany Bay and began colonisation, consequently inflicting many atrocities such as, mass murder, rape, kidnapping, poisoning, deliberate starvatio...n and cultural genocide of our native people. This Saturday there will be a 16-band, free entry gig at The Brunswick Hotel to raise awareness for why the date chosen for Australia Day needs to be changed in order to give Australia a true day of National Celebration. The gig is an all-day affair, run over two stages and includes local talents My Left Boot, Don Fernando, System Of Venus, Moth, Riff Fist, The Dukes Of Deliciousness, Arty Del Rio, Drifter, Long Holiday, The Kremlings, Olmeg, Angry Mules, 4tress, The Art Of Later, Master_Beta, The Underhanded (Anglesea) plus JMS Harrison (acoustic). Day kicks off at 2.20pm til late. (thanks for the words Chris Saunders & Arty Del Rio)
