24.01.2022 Hello all, It is with much sadness and regret that, due to large falling sales and the declining number of regular customers, I will begin closing down the over-the-counter sales of Rons Bookshop at the end of March 2019. I will concentrate on the online business from home and possibly selling at Trash n Treasure.... While the shop has excellent stock and good potential it needs fresh and invigorated management to keep it going. The real drop off in sales occurred almost after the "FOR SALE" sign was placed on the window and despite explaining my predicament to those concerned the "FOR SALE" sign remains on the window. As I stated earlier, it is with much sadness and regret that I had to come to this decision because I have made many friends since opening the first shop, at Jamison, in 1998. Unfortunately time and reality have caught up with me. Ron

After months of dithering, I have finally moved out of the shop at Hawker and am now concentrating on the online sales platform and will try my hand at Trash 'n' Treasure when it reopens or when it gets a bit warmer. If you are looking for a particular book you can leave me a message on (02) 62586849 or [email protected] My thanks go to the blokes from the Hall Mens Shed and Mick Sweeting who put in a mighty effort to clean the place out and take the shelving away. Also thanks go to Kaye from the Christ Church at Hawker who took away and distributed around 80 plus boxes of books to various organisations for fundraising.
