20.04.2022 Up 'til now if you wanted a Lock NLoad platform to go on your raised roof rails, you would need to also purchase a set of roof racks to sit it on. Alternatively you could also have chosen to, begrudgingly, purchase another brand. Those days are gone! 07.04.2022 There's nothing I love more, at work, than hearing someone say, "Everybody tells me it can't be done!" Especially when that person is from the other side of town, and wants something that can't be found on any website, but when thought about logically is a VERY easy "to do". Case in point: Customer rings(We'll call him Mark, because that's his actual name) and tells me he has a VW Multivan with factory fitted C Channel tracks in the roof. He wants a short Yakima LOCKNLOAD PLA...TFORM at the back and 2 crossbars at the front, but because there is nothing on the Yakima Australia website, everywhere Mark has approached has told him "NO!". I thought for a second and realised 2 points. 1. A lot of the LOCKNLOAD stuff is track mounted. 2. As long as there is a LOCKNLOAD PLATFORM wide enough, there is no reason why we can't make it work. On the day of fitting, we experimented and found that the longer LOCKNLOAD crossbars will fit perfectly. A HUGE vote of thanks goes out to all of my opposition between Altona North and here, for not taking the time to think about the customers needs, and not being prepared to think outside the box... Here is the finished product, a VW Multivan with a Platform G which is 1570 mm wide x 1400 mm long and 2 x LOCKNLOAD BARS 1375 MM. One more Very VERY happy customer. See more

18.03.2022 On the 13th of May, this poor guy in a Ford Focus got smacked and came backwards into our wall. Finally, today, the windows are being replaced. The window guys have taken all of our parking spots and made it almost impossible for pedestrians to get to the shop. I'm getting paid to sit here and watch people work. :D

26.02.2022 Got to love it when other dealers make life easier for you by not giving their customers the service that is needed. This lady drove all the way to Dandenong South from Geelong, to buy a set of roof racks and a roof box, with the stipulation that the height of it all be under 2.1 metres. Of course we made it happen with a set of Whispbar roof racks and a Yakima Lo Pro roof box in Onyx.

10.01.2022 Hey Everyone, sad to say, with this COVID-19 crisis that we are facing, our boss has decided to close our store to the public until further notice. We will be fulfilling all of our online orders and returning phone calls where messages have been left. If fittings are required, we can take payment over the phone or via the internet, but we will not be accepting cash. The customer will be required to leave the vehicle and go for a walk around the block, or at least be at a distance that is deemed appropriate. Once the fitting is done, we will retreat to the shop and lock the doors, and you may leave. Pick ups, will need to be paid for in advance. We will place the item outside the door from where you may retrieve it and leave. We will be onsite for a limited time a couple of days per week, but are not permitted to open to the public.
