Commonly known as the midgen berry, midyim, silky myrtle, and copper tops these native berries are edible berries which ripen in summer and autumn in eastern Australia (Queensland to New South Wales). The berries are a popular bushfood eaten by Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities. The melt-in-your-mouth copper top are sweet, and aromatic, with a pleasant ginger-flavour.
