21.01.2022 Hi all! In these incredibly uncertain times, I want to assure you that your kids can still thrive with their literacy. RookieLit is tutoring for kids who could use an early literacy boost (prep to grade 1), or for those who are struggling (grade 2-6). I'm trained to use both the Sounds Write program and the OG (Orton Gillingham) method. This means I'm well placed to tutor children regardless of the severity of their difficulty. If you're worried that your child is not catchin...g on quick enough or think they have dyslexia or related difficulties, I can help! Over the holidays I will be conducting assessments for intake to begin tutoring in term 2. These assessments form the beginning of our literacy journey, and allow me to begin tutoring at a level suitable for your child. Whilst I cannot diagnose learning difficulties, if they are present a blend of Sounds Write and OG will be used for the best results. Of course given the current situation these assessments will be conducted via zoom with no face to face contact required and no need to be local. Sessions will commence from the first week of term, with only assessments taking place over the holidays.
