15.01.2022 HEALING WOUNDS OF THE PSYCHE WITH PLANTS OF THE EARTH Whilst there are certain plants well known for mind altering actions, almost any plant has the capacity to change our mood or state of mind. Moving beyond the well known St Johns Wort for depression opens up a treasure trove of relief for a variety of emotional states that we may experience at certain times in our lives.... If we look to archetypal myths, and historic herbal texts we find information pointing to the use of herbs for spiritual and emotional wellbeing that is rarely referenced in modern materia medica classes which focus on the physical and biochemical aspects of herbal medicines and disease. In this workshop we will explore several commonly used and easily accessible herbs and how they may be of benefit in mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Herbs discussed will include Golden Rod, Black Cohosh, Mugwort and others. We will also have the opportunity to taste and experience the herbs prepared specifically for such use.
