17.01.2022 Tomorrow's focus - its in the hipsWhich is a natural response to the requests for ways to help 'de-stress'. The classes are specifically designed around the incredible psoas muscle this week. The psoas, is a muscle that attaches the lumbar spine to the femur bone, and is triggered when we experience stress and/or repetitive activity. As with all responses to stress, the problem is that the response becomes habitual, resulting in chronic tension and contraction. As well as releasing this physical and emotional energy, opening the hips helps to support the lower back and assists in realigning the body. This yoga practise is an opportunity to undo some of the built up tension and establish a deep and abiding sense of harmony in the body and the mind. Everybody is welcome. Xx

10.01.2022 This week is all about building strength. Inner and outer strength combined. Mentally and physically. Specifically, in the arms and upper body. It is sometimes easy to overlook the importance of strength and flexibility and be in favour of more 'active' activities such as cardio. Whilst cardio certainly increases fitness, increasing flexibility and overall strength develops an important well-rounded routine keeping the body loose, limber and well-toned. Not only does it decre...ase the risk of injury but just as crucial, it is great for mental well-being and lymphatic and digestive health. Targeting specific groups of muscels in even the simplest of poses can help tone muscels throughout the body. Followed by a rewarding restorative relaxation bringing balance to busy, cluttered minds.
