23.01.2022 If I were a colour palette this would be me. Playing around with some new keyring designs today and realising it’s been yonks since I’ve played with Macramè rope and string since I’ve been knitting like a crazy person getting beanies out to al your favourite brick and mortar stores. A dreary autumn day giving me this colour palette dug deep into the macramè archives find the perfect grey for this keyring. You’d be amazed but much rope you have when you’re trying to find the perfect colour!

13.01.2022 This year has been a roller coaster for everyone because, well, 2020! It’s been a year of reassessing of where I want to see myself go. This year was always going to be a challenge for me, having Harrison in Jan, doing the whole, balancing life, business and a newborn all over again. Sure, it’s been tough but I’ve always been encouraged by many people around me to keep going! Some of those people I hardly know and have only met once. Those words, comments on posts, likes and ...shares mean so much to someone like myself who struggles to see the beauty in my own work from time to time. I find myself creating lots of stuff and then doubt that it’s social media worthy because in my eyes it’s not perfect, but each time I post something new, that comment from another business, someone who has followed or purchased from me before or a new follower always helps me move forward with posting more of my work! I’m very self conscious of my work that it doesn’t stand up to the quality of others in the same industry, but that’s me being picky and hard on myself. So here’s to the remainder of 2020. To post more of my work, to share what I’m currently working on and open my work to the world. I have a studio full of half finished project, projects I didn’t think are good enough, so here’s to sharing them all with you and turning those negative voices in my head

08.01.2022 Success when you design a workshop, you never know if it will be a flop or success and this workshop was one of them. So many thoughts run through my mind will it be too hard?, will anyone finish?, what if no one gets it, what if they all hate it! Something that doesn’t take me long to make or understand doesn’t necessarily means everyone else will understand it or get it but I am SO proud and SO impressed with the 13 ladies last night who not only made a basket ea...ch, almost every single person completed theirs before leaving and those who didn’t finish, weren’t too far off. As a workshop designer, there’s so many things that can go wrong, and it’s through trial and error that I can predict these things and prepare for them. It’s not as easy as throwing a crochet hook and some yarn and saying there you go, make a basket. Everyone learns differently and understands things in their own unique way and I love teaching and seeing the proud look on everyone’s face when they get it. This is why I do what I do! That’s why I’m crazy to to have 5 workshops in 5 days. Today I will be teaching my second basket making workshop @wattlebird and I’m excited to see what this group of ladies create. What size they make and colours they choose

08.01.2022 FINAL DAYS - of our Mother’s Day Pop-Up Shop! Haven’t manage to make it into the Tassie makers market pop-up yet? You have two days left Saturday till 5pm... and Sunday both till 4pm Don’t miss out - we won’t be back till October!

08.01.2022 You may have noticed a decrease is posts lately, not because I’m not working but because I’m working in the background! Over the coming days/ weeks/ months you’ll start to notice that @ropedfibreart taking a different direction in business. This is all good things, don’t worry! I am shuffling and doing more of what I love and less of what makes me feel like I’m doing a chore. I started @ropedfibreart for the love of fibre arts and those loves and passions have grown into ...other avenues of fibre arts along the way. One thing that will be staying is workshops because I LOVE workshops and LOVE teaching, so take that as a hint I’m investing in what makes me happy, because at the end of the day that’s what life is all about. The new direction will take time as I still have outstanding orders and I will continue to share those things but time will show the new direction. New things. New style. New Roped Fibre Art! 07.01.2022 So much is happening. So much to be done. So many workshops just this weekend as well. This Friday and Saturday is the first basket making workshops and then Monday I welcome back our Creative Kids workshops which I’m so pleased as I have missed teaching and working with the children. Following that, I have a private workshop on Tuesday! That’s 5 workshops in 5 days! So when I say I’m busy working behind the scenes, you better believe it! Posting here on social media has ...been on the back burner, mainly because there’s nothing I can really show you at the moment, but I’m getting there.. trust me! If you’ve had a jump on the website, you’ll notice it’s had a freshen up, old products gone and looking pretty empty, but that won’t be for long. I hope (fingers crossed ) to upload a new range by the end of this week which I’m super excited about! I’ll also be giving some sneaky discount codes for the release, so definitely keep your eyes peeled for that!! www.ropedfibreart.com.au

03.01.2022 I have the best job, teaching wonderful people a variety of different fibre arts! Yesterday’s workshop was such a blast and another 11 ladies starting and completing their very own crochet baskets! A fabulous way to spend the afternoon and 2/5 workshops completed for me!
