20.01.2022 Thank you Susie and Prahran Rotary.

15.01.2022 Members of the Rotary clubs of Camberwell, Glenferrie, Hawthorn and the Rotary e-Club of Melbourne joined forces on April 7th to dismantle the playground at Yar...ra Bank Reserve Hawthorn, transport it to Rotary Donations in Kind in West Footscray and load it into a container bound for Nepal under the Rotary Overseas Recycled Playgrounds Project. The new Yarra Bank Reserve playground will be the site of the unique and spectacular Rotary interactive play sculpture, a gift from Rotary to the residents of Boroondara to mark the 100th anniversary of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand. 14.01.2022 On Saturday, our Rotary Overseas Recycled Playgrounds (RORP) team loaded 10 playgrounds into a container bound for Sri Lanka. Mount Martha Rotarians were joined... by Sam Nicol from Rotary Overseas Recycled Playgrounds, Melinda Bell from Greater Dandenong, Bob Allardice from Rotary Club of Nunawading. The Consul General of Sri Lanka, Kapila Fonseka also lent a hand with the loading of the container and relayed the thanks of the Sri Lankan community for the fantastic work that RORP does. The smiles on our faces are nothing compared with those on the faces of the children who enjoy these recycled playgrounds! Thank you to the MPNews for the article. #Rotaryoverseasarecycledplaygrounds #RORP See more

13.01.2022 We may be in stage 4 lockdown but the RORP continues to liaise with councils, contractors and clubs on playgrounds. Thank you to Adventure Phs and Holy Eucharist school St Albans for their playground.

12.01.2022 RORP has grown to now include all Victorian Districts and interest from as far afield as South Australia, Western Australia and NT. With COVID restrictions easing soon, our partners - councils and contractors are ready to spring into action with the backlog of playgrounds to be collected. We are seeking someone to assist us with the social media and marketing arm of RORP. Could you spare some time? Do you know of someone who would love to help out with this task?... Saving landfill, delivering joy!

10.01.2022 Why waste a good playground? Wyndham Rotary helps Rotary Overseas Recycled Playgrounds provide a resource to kids in Sri Lanka. No need for landfill and great for communities in need.#WyndhamRotaryCares #PeopleOfAction

02.01.2022 And this is how you save a playground from landfill! Code the plans so that Rotarians in Sri Lanka can reassemble it, get a great team together & try not to cur...se too loudly at the rusted on bolts & fixings that don’t want to budge! A great project run by #rotaryoverseasrecycledplaygrounds #RORP #rotaryKensington supported by mighty #rotaryprahran! See more
