When someone asks you what’s the wildest thing that’s ever happened to you?, what’s your go to story? Or is it something that you think hasn’t ever happened to anyone else? I’m looking for REGULAR people with EXTRAORDINARY stories. I’m creating a new project to capture these stories, told in your own words, on film. The stories that you know you’ll tell your grandchildren (or ma...ybe you have told your grandchild - no age limit here... ages 3-120). 20.01.2022 I’ve always tried to be very honest and transparent about my mental health... having worked so hard on SNAFI, I feel like it’s important to share as much as I can. Sometimes words aren’t enough to explain how you’re feeling so this time I decided to try a video. I’m feeling even more anxious as to how this will be received but I figure it’s worth me staying transparent and sticking to my integrity.

17.01.2022 I’ve always tried to be transparent about my mental health, particularly since I started SNAFI. I think it’s important to show realistic iterations of anxiety and depression... so here is a video. I couldn’t think of anything I could do today that could possibly make myself feel better, so I’m trying this. This is a very vulnerable moment for me but I hope it’s worth it.

11.01.2022 Consent: The Still Not Asking For It Project film has a new producer on board, Barbara Taylor from @ladyinblackcreative - I couldn’t be more excited and, by a happy coincidence, Barbara Taylor and friend have accidentally become the poster girls for @aidcmelb (we ain’t mad about it!) - featured because Barbara won the Access program scholarship and is off to Singapore for a paid internship! She is an absolutely powerhouse and from the moment we met, I think we both new so...mething special was cooking. SO WATCH THIS SPACE. We have stuff coming up, we have interest from people all over the world in this film... it’s going to take some graft, but I promise you it will happen, and I’m going to need all of your love and support! I will be putting a page on the SNAFI website shortly about how you can help (if you’d like to), but mainly, please just keep engaging and egging us on to get it done!!! The absolute best thing about #aidc2020 was the powerhouse women I met down there and seeing how supportive everyone is of each other gives me so much hope! 11.01.2022 1st day of preschool vs last day of preschool. Off to big school she goes next year! I can barely believe it! I just can’t believe how much she’s truly grown up but also how much she seems exactly the same.... We’re both so proud of how much she’s grown up and the kind, strong little human she’s turned into. She’s so much smarter already than Alex and I.. she’s inquisitive, quirky, she has the best sense of humour and she always wants to learn more, see more and do more. We definitely aren’t perfect parents, and she definitely isn’t a perfect child... but we do our best to make sure we can give her absolutely everything we have left after work, and work, and more work and everything else. So excited for her to start big school and put that big head and her big brain to work. She doesn’t know anyone she’s going to school with but I’m sure she’ll make fast friends and I met one of the young girls who’s going to be a prefect at her school next year and she promised she’d take care of the dumpling for me

06.01.2022 I haven’t taken proper photos of Polly for about a year, so I decided to finally update some... she put on the lipstick despite my protestations and would not take it off! She has a secret stash of lipsticks she’s stolen from my drawer and I don’t know where they are, she just appears wearing them. My baby is going to big school next year, she’s so grown up, so sweet and so smart. 01.01.2022 And still... the child remains infinitely cooler than I could ever be. If this is what 5 looks like god knows what’s coming in the future. We love her sensitive little soul so much. . #storytime - yesterday she got home from school and told us she needed to confess something to us about her and her friend, who she has spent the whole time through #coronavirus with at school when there have been barely any kids as Alex and I are both #essentialworkers .... we said, ok, just... let us know.... she said it’s something naughty to do with the virus.... and we were like ok? . Then she told us that they’d been holding hands even though she knew they aren’t supposed to. My heart broke . We told her that she isn’t in trouble from us, thank you for telling us and being honest but if a teacher tells them to stop doing it, they have to. .
