22.01.2022 Julia Dhar's Ted talk is based on the macro scale. However, her principles can be transferred to a smaller scale, for arguments with our partners, colleagues, committees, etc. We, as people, can start debating the issue and not attack someone's identity. We can start at the point of common truth; what we agree on. We can stop pontificating and start to listen. We may even give ourselves the permission that we may be wrong. If we argue like Julia suggests we will not hurt someone for who they are and what they believe. We will find a solution that benefits all that are involved, no matter what the scale.

22.01.2022 Fear is insidious, crippling and steals your joy. As Stephanie Melish said, "Fear is an idea-crippling, experience-crushing, success stalling inhibitor inflicted only by yourself." We all at one time or another stand at the crossroads of fear. We can continue to listen to the fear or we can acknowledge it, face it head on, breathe and step into something new, exciting, challenging, rewarding, whatever may lay ahead.
