25.01.2022 Change is the six-letter word that makes most of us cringe. Ask anyone how they feel about change, and most people will tell you it’s not their favorite thing to experience in life. That’s because change can be incredibly difficult and more than a little stressfulespecially when change occurs in the workplace. Whether that change takes the form of new technology, company mergers, pay cuts, or layoffs, change is one of the fastest ways to lower employee morale if not managed ...properly. Even long-time, loyal team members can become burnt out, stressed, and mentally fatigued. But change doesn’t have to knock your employees out for the count. Learn 4 strategies you can implement before, during, and after the next change episode in your workplace to ensure your team stays positive, optimistic, and both mentally and emotionally resilient. 21.01.2022 With the current global pandemic still ongoing, many office workers are still operating out of their homes. The video conferencing platform, Zoom, has very much become the glue that holds teams together, allowing colleagues to continue meeting to discuss business goals, upcoming project deadlines, and any obstacles that need to be addressed to continue with forward-motion. However, it’s easy for Zoom meetings to become unproductive if they’re not properly managed. In the com...fort of their homes, people are more prone to long-windedness in conversation, which can easily turn a simple 30-minute meeting into one that lasts for over an hour. There are also more distractions to deal with (crying children, barking dogs) and a different way of interacting (video boxes as opposed to face-to-face conversation) that can prove challenging initially when maximising the effectiveness of your Zoom meetings. However, it is possible to make your Zoom meetings more productive, allowing your employees to have more productive workdays in turn and thus enabling your team as a whole to get more done throughout the week. Here are some tips for making your Zoom meetings more effective and productive:

18.01.2022 Has creating a speech, presentation, or training ever felt stressful and/or overwhelming to you? You’re not alone. For many people, building presentations of any sort can trigger a lot of anxiety.... - Will the audience be engaged? - Will you deliver the content confidently enough? - Will the presentation persuade and convert? Unfortunately, conventional wisdom doesn’t offer a lot of help to those looking to become a pro when it comes to presentations. You’ve probably heard all the advice out there: -Be prepared -Speak from the heart -Use notes -Don’t use notes use slides instead it’s enough to make your head spin. After years of delivering countless presentations to thousands of people, I knew there had to be an easier way. So I analysed and compared approaches and methodologies. And that’s how I discovered The Critical Framework for Brilliant Presentations. Join me as I walk you through the template I use to create engaging presentations every time. (4min 36s watch time). 12.01.2022 Employees want it, managers know it’s important, and it usually doesn’t cost anything. When you look at it that way, you’d expect to be drowning in recognition at work. Yet, a recent Gallup poll showed that lack of workplace appreciation is a major concern among employees. It’s not that surprising when you think about the possible reasons. Some of your coworkers could feel too competitive to notice you. Your boss could think that keeping you on the payroll proves they’re sati...sfied with your performance, and any of your colleagues could be uncomfortable or unfamiliar with handing out praise. If you want to feel valued, you may need to shake things up. Start with these suggestions for creating more recognition for yourself and your colleagues. 4mins 55s watch time.

11.01.2022 With the majority of the labor force relegated to home offices, more people than ever are taking advantage of online learning in order to invest in their personal and professional development as well as acquire new skills for future advancement in their careers. After all, continuing education is an important aspect of leadership development. The most effective and successful leaders are ones who continue acquiring knowledge and diversifying the skills in their toolbox. 09.01.2022 What Women’s Leader Archetype do you align with? https://www.shapingchange.net.au/leader-archetypes-quiz/ My decades of research and experience led me to a very interesting realisation. When at their best, women leaders operate across four key Women’s Leader Archetypes.... As part of my ongoing work on this, I’ve designed an archetypes diagnostic tool for women leaders. After months of testing and refining, we are now live! I’d like to invite you to take the assessment. It is absolutely free and will give you deep insights into yourself through the lens of women’s leadership and power. My mission is to fundamentally reinvent what it means to be a female leader showing women that they can have leadership and influence while being themselves. It truly is the art and science of female leadership. Together we can make real changes in the way powerful women ‘do’ leadership. Ros

06.01.2022 It’s normal to feel stressed in these unprecedented times. What’s important is to develop effective strategies for managing your stress so that you can maintain your mental health and continue having productive days both in your personal and professional life. Here are 4 healthy coping strategies for destressing:
06.01.2022 Society at large has become incredibly results-oriented, as people are pushing themselves beyond their limits in order to get ahead, get on top, and get further than ever before. For many, their mantra is ‘go, go, go’ without ever stopping or taking pause for rest, which can be a very dangerous approach. For one, when mind and body are burnt out, you’re no longer able to produce your best work, but more importantly, you put yourself at further risk for health issues, which in turn only keeps you from accomplishing your goals. So how can we combat stress and live a healthier lifestyle where our mental health is a priority?
06.01.2022 Increasing women in positions of influence has never been more urgent. Where women’s voices are at the decision-making table, the world is better for it. Yet I see so many women who are holding back, being quieted, being a presence at the leadership table, but not a voice. If you are a woman in leadership, your transformation cannot be put on hold while we grapple with everything on our plates. The world is CALLING for you to stand up.... The world is CALLING for you to become who you were meant to. Will you answer? ******************************** "A brilliant program... emergence is exactly the outcome I've experienced. Congratulations on a fantastic offering, and being part of it has changed my world" - Jess Tyler "This program is highly recommended. The Emerge Program will assist in determining your strengths and weaknesses, create networks, build confidence, navigate office politics, and ultimately help you define who you are, not only as a leader, but as a woman. If you are wanting to break through the glass ceiling, this program is for you"! - Alison Haertel *********************************** If you are a woman in leadership who is frustrated, overwhelmed, struggling with work / life balance. If you KNOW you are meant for more, but without the constant challenge of sacrificing yourself, your family, or your health - Emerge is for you. Emerge takes participants on a facilitated deep dive into the exact strategies and tools we have used to create our own success stories. Using these same 3 success keys we have helped other women to achieve more than they thought was possible: $30,000 pay rise (not a typo!) Remunerated Board positions 6 figure client contracts in a new business Promotions Dream jobs Fellowship and connections with influential women from global business Those are the tangible markers of our clients' successes, but what REALLY matters is they are finally FULFILLED, EMPOWERED, RECOGNISED, RESPECTED and CONFIDENT. And we want that for all women in business. "I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the opportunity you gave me to attend the Emerge leadership program. It has been a very enriching journey of self-reflection, personal and professional growth. I have had opportunity to listen and talk to some very incredible women throughout this program and have had many take-away/light bulb moments which will support my growth and development. This course has supported me to step back and look at the bigger picture and I’m excited at the possibilities. I simply just want to say thank you, I have truly valued this experience". - Anita Leighton *********************************** The next cohort of Emerge starts on 28 September. 04.01.2022 I was meeting a business contact for a coffee recently and we started talking about getting the best out of people. My contact works in an industry that can be quite hierarchical and rules driven and can struggle to engage people. The question he asked was how do you get people to work harder? One of the challenges of leading people is the ever increasing pressure of doing more with less. Budgets are tighter and expectations are higher now than they were even five years ago. Organisations are pushing to be leaner, faster, better so how can you help your people to be as productive as possible? (3 mins 9s watch time).
04.01.2022 Listen to Alison Haertel's personal experience of the Emerge Program. Increasing women in positions of influence have NEVER been more urgent. From financial crises to health crises to systemic discrimination... If you are a woman in leadership, your transformation cannot be put on hold while we grapple with everything on our plates. ... The world is CALLING for you to stand up. The world is CALLING for you to become who you were meant to. Will you answer? Find out more here https://www.courses.shapingchange.com.au/Emerge
