13.01.2022 Final checks to a design today before sending it to some very lovely people and wanted to share with you a quick tip on how I communicate your dream vision to vendors. If you've been feeling frustrated and have been thinking "nobody gets me!", try this: instead of using words that just simply say what your wedding "style" or "theme" is (vintage or rustic, classic or modern) try using words that are more expressive - emotional, tactile or sensory words or even words that descr...ibe a personality. These work so much better because 1 you're not restricting your own design & ideas and 2 you're not restricting your vendor's creativity to the same-old-same-old words like vintage, or rustic or classic or modern or glam... which are not only subjective but can be quite conflicting because they can mean very different things to different people. And when things conflict, they don't flow. And when they don't flow, there goes your vision of that cohesive dream day. Whereas if you use more descriptive words like happy or joyful, well there's no way it can mean anything else but that! . In my own dream world, I love writing a little narrative because I believe there's no better way for people to instantly get you than when you tell a little story - and that'll paint a picture better than any good ol' Pinterest board or "style" words ever will.
