24.01.2022 As a Marriage Celebrant I often hear that it is traditional for the bride to be late. Sometimes the unexpected happens. Whether it is car troubles, traffic to the ceremony, wedding rings left behind etc. I know that guests can be understanding due to these circumstances happening. If the bride decides to be late half an hour or more just to make a grand entrance, especially if your ceremony is in a park, there is little seating, shade or water, especially if its hot, this ma...y cause discomfort for your guests. A suggestion to couples is to put a time of your ceremony at least 15 minutes earlier on the invitation so that your guests have arrived on time and are ready for the Bride to arrive with little delay. On that note, it is important that the Bride does make sure that that she and the bridal party arrives on time. Some good ideas include having a trial make up and hair run to ensure that you can allocate time slots for each of your bridal party, a test dress fitting and accomodate time for your photographers prior to the ceremony.

24.01.2022 Today I had the pleasure to officiate a wonderful ceremony for Luke and Cheyenne at Sergents Mess Chowder Bay rd Mosman . What a lovely wedding ! And I also had the honour to be their MC at the reception . I thoroughly recommend the Venue. It was officated here at my home, in front of the fireplace, on a very cold Monday afternoon. The warmth of these wonderful people, made their intimate wedding a real joy for all. 12.01.2022 This afternoon I officiated a wedding at the Epping Club for a lovely couple Ben and Kristie. Unfortunately I didnt get a chance to take a photo with the newly weds but will no doubt get one from their photographer. I want to thank Zoe the events coordinator at the Epping Club for her friendly and helpful service. The ceremony room looked lovely and no doubt the ballroom would look spectacular!! A great place to hold a wedding!

11.01.2022 To those couples who have had to cancel their wedding here in NSW due to the capacity restrictions enforced by the government, my heart goes out to you all. I have had a number of couples, who have had to cancel their overseas wedding plans, not only an emotionally draining exercise but also financially. If couples are needing to postpone/cancel weddings due to restrictions especially pertaining to the reception numbers and other social distancing rules, remember I can offer... you options: 1. I can marry you both with your two witnesses on the original date if this date meant alot to you both. 2. Then You can return at a later date once this ban is lifted and I can conduct a renewal ceremony with your required guest numbers and continue your celebration at your reception. There are lots of ways I can still assist those if they have had to postpone. You will only be charged the one fee for me doing this option, just to help you out during this challenging time. 11.01.2022 Today I officiated a beautiful and very emotional wedding for good friends Lily Campusano Fuenzalida and Andrew Carpenter. This wedding was literally a marriage made in Heaven with their spiritual loved ones giving their blessings from up above. The sunshine and view at St George Motor boat Club Sans Souci was simply stunning. A beautiful lunch with a small group of close friends and family was just wonderful. 11.01.2022 Surprise weddings can be fun! depending on who is being surprised. If you are surprising your partner, you better think again. You may think this is romantic but as a Celebrant I am not authorised to perform surprise weddings, if it involves one member of a couple being surprised. This is specified in the Guidelines of the marriage act 1961. But!!! If a couple want to surprise their guests, that changes everything. The couple getting married completes the pre wedding paperwork as per normal. Then it is up to them to make sure they tell two witnesses who will be properly prepared to do the signing on the day. I would recommend that your parents are informed as they have had long term expectations to their children getting married. Although this may cause a family disagreement, just think it through.

That way you guarantee being on the Australian births Deaths and Marriages register and know that documents are legitimate and easy to access if needed. The surprise was initiated by the gorgeous Jessica and she planned the whole surprise for her family with myself (celebrant and my husband Len Gallo flowers) as her co conspirators lol . Location was at Clarkes point reserve at Woolwich. The whole surprise factor was unbelievable and Armando and the kids were just excited, thrilled and surprised. 01.01.2022 The pandemic has certainly challenged couples with their wedding plans. Many have changed their wedding dates, which has caused so much anxiety and stress. One common conversation point I have come across speaking to many couples, is that they have decided to cut their wedding guest list to half the amount they had intended. This way they avoid having to uninvite guests if the inevitable happens with a covid wave. Many of the weddings I have officiated during covid have been... with reduced numbers of 12 to 120 people. All still beautiful and intimate and I have to say fun as well! I have been very flexible with my couples in changing dates. Some have changed 4 times, no fault of their own, but with my Celebrant services, I do the right thing, to make sure when we do transfer the date, there are no hidden costs.
