16.01.2022 Last night we celebrated the accomplishments of our 5 incredible, Year 6 students and reflected on their K-6 journeys at Rosebank PS. We are extremely proud and confident that they are all ready to transition from the familiar faces and surrounds of Rosebank PS to new routines, teachers and classmates of Secondary school. We can’t wait, Year 6 to hear where your intelligence, creativity, passion and amazing personalities lead you into the future. Continue to evolve in your thinking, learning and in your views on life.

14.01.2022 What an awesome week of swimming safety. It was great seeing our students learning in a different environment. Thank you, Sue Attwood for providing high quality instruction and the use of your beautiful facilities.

13.01.2022 NAIDOC Week is usually celebrated in July but this year it was postponed until 8-15 November. N.S.W public schools are celebrating NAIDOC Week from 8 15 November with the theme ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’. The 2020 National NAIDOC Poster, Shape of Land, was designed by Tyrown Waigana, a Noongar and Saibai Islander man. Tyrown’s artwork tells the story of how the Rainbow Serpent came out of the Dreamtime to create this land. It is represented by the snake and it forms the ...shape of Australia, which symbolises how it created our lands. The colour from the Rainbow Serpent is reflected on to the figure to display our connection to the Rainbow Serpent, thus our connection to country. The overlapping colours on the outside is the Dreamtime. The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land. See more

09.01.2022 Our staff and students were extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work closely with the ‘Every Old Sock Meets an Old Shoe’ Theatre and Performance Company last Monday. This exceptional Literacy incursion inspired and mesmerised our students and gave them the opportunity to interact with three high quality performers who presented a traditional Italian folktale through authentic marionette puppetry. We thank, Lynn Preston, Kasia Pudlo and Kate McDowell for bridging the gap between spoken and written literacy by allowing students to experience language as an oral medium, specific to culture and audience.
