25.01.2022 Council would like to advise that it will be closed from 12pm 24th December 2020 and will be open and resume normal business hours from 8:30am Monday 4th Januar...y 2021. Please be advised that Garbage collection services will continue on the regular schedule over the holiday season. The Waste Transfer Stations will be closed on Friday 25th December public holiday plus Saturday 26th December, open as per normal operating hours on Monday 28th December public holiday and Friday 1st January 2021 public holiday. If your call is regarding a Dog related emergency, please contact the on-call Animal Control Officer on 0418 756 891. If your call is regarding a Council related emergency such as: - Stormwater; - Town Roads; - Footpaths; or - Serious safety concerns; please contact the Supervisor of Operations on 0418 527 972. 23.01.2022 For the next few days our house might seem a little upside down with the the builders still a little busy trying to finish up, we are currently using the old entry that’s on Agnes street, Centrelink and nils loans are still available at this time. As long with the pantry being opened this Wednesday. As soon as the work is finished our house things will return back to normal. Thanks you for your understanding and remember our doors are open if you would like a coffee and a chat on this wet summers day, we look forward to seeing all our old and new members in 2021

21.01.2022 SEVERE WEATHER WARNING - TASMANIA The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for damaging westerly winds, with peak gusts around 100 ...km/h, across southern and central Tasmania, as well as parts of the northeast and the Furneaux Islands Damaging winds will gradually ease during the day. Locations which may be affected include Swansea, Strahan, New Norfolk, Hobart, Geeveston and Dover. 13.01.2022 Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS For people in King Island, Furneaux Islands, Western, Upper Derwent Valley, South East, North East, East Coast, Centra...l Plateau, Midlands and parts of North West Coast and Central North Forecast Districts. Issued at 4:25 pm Tuesday, 1 December 2020. DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY Plan Image Weather Situation: A strong cold front crosses Tasmania later today, with strong west to northwesterly winds following the front this evening. The winds tend more westerly early Wednesday and gradually ease during the morning. DAMAGING WEST TO NORTHWESTERLY WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h, are expected across the southern and western halves of Tasmania, as well as parts of the northeast and Bass Strait islands, during Tuesday and Wednesday. Damaging winds are likely to persist until Wednesday afternoon. Stronger gusts in excess of 120 km/h are possible across high terrain and exposed coastal locations. The strong winds tend west to southwesterly early Wednesday then gradually ease during the day, with the damaging winds mostly contracting to the far south of Tasmania during the afternoon. Locations which may be affected include St Helens, Swansea, Strahan, New Norfolk, Hobart and Dover.
