15.01.2022 We have been working closely with City of Newcastle and various suppliers to implement a solution for coastal erosion. The Stockton beach project is critical to protecting our magnificent coastline and we are honoured to have been chosen as a supplier. We were able to meet exacting standards for materials, compliance, transport and production. Watch this space for updates and photos of the progress.

14.01.2022 We are back on deck after our Christmas break and looking forward to another busy year with some significant projects kicking off soon. 2021 will mark 40 years since Rosebrook Sand and Gravel was started by the Jackson family at Maitland Vale. 40 years in business is quite an achievement in any industry and we couldn't have done it without the continued support and loyalty of our customers, staff and suppliers. Thank you and we wish everyone all the best for the year ahead.

11.01.2022 We are currently supplying material for the construction of a new golf course in the Great Lakes region that will be the first in NSW with synthetic greens. Updates to follow.

03.01.2022 Proposed expansion of Dalswinton Quarry; Rosebrook Sand and Gravel are seeking to vary the footprint of Dalswinton Quarry and extend the operational consent through until 2047. HDB Town planning & Design are currently preparing an Environmental Impact Statement as part of the application process for submission late 2020. The proposed development will cover approximately 89 hectares of the Dalswinton site including expansion towards the East as well as re working previously e...xtracted zones to recover discarded raw material. Sand and gravel will be produced at an average rate of 250,000 tonnes per year with a maximum allowable annual limit of 500,000 tonnes per year under the new consent. The maximum quantity of material to be extracted over the proposed 25 year period would be 12.5 million tonnes. Approximately 60,000 tonnes of various materials will be stockpiled on site to ensure market demand can be met in a timely manner. No other changes are anticipated for the extended operations and the proposal will adopt existing methods of extraction and processing. Further details to be provided at a later date. The current approved hours of operation are as follows; - Monday to Friday 5.00am - 12.00am - Saturday 5.00am - 1.30pm - No quarrying to be undertaken on Sundays or public holidays The proposal also includes the progressive rehabilitation to minimise the extent of disturbed area at any given time. Extraction pits will be back-filled, reshaped, top dressed and sown with pasture species for grazing purposes at the end of the operations. A public drop in session is scheduled for Tuesday 30 June 2020 from 2.00pm to 5.00 pm at Rosebrook Sand and Gravel - Cawsey Park Quarry, Jerdan Street Denman. 03.01.2022 Bag filling at the Stockton project commenced today. Each flexible gabion holds approx. 4 tonne of 50/150 river gravel. The natural shape of the river gravel wont damage the integrity of the bag. Placement of the bags to follow. City of Newcastle
