22.01.2022 Our sister Theatre Group Southern Peninsula Players Theatre Group have just made the sad but not unexpected news that due to the Mornington Peninsula Shire closing the Rosebud Memorial Hall in response to COVID-19, the upcoming production of Arsenic & Old Lace scheduled to go ahead in May has been postponed. Please join our mailing list via our website or Newsletter page on Facebook in order to be notified of all our latest news. :)

19.01.2022 Addams Family Info Night

13.01.2022 **CoViD-19 UPDATE** The Rosebud Astral Theatre Company has been monitoring the current situation and advice from Government and health Services regarding the CoVid-19 pandemic. Our information night for our September Musical The Addams Family is this coming Monday evening and as this is expected to be a small event of less than 50 people, it has been decided that it will go ahead as scheduled with some slight alterations to the original plans at the Rosebud Memorial Hall from... 7:30pm. As well as welcoming anyone to attend, we will also Livestream the information session via our public Facebook page so that anyone who cannot be there will still be able to watch it online and ask questions in real time. At the information session we will advise people how they can book their auditions, which are still due to be held as previously advertised. We will also outline our current plans and approach to the virus and the upcoming rehearsal season. September is many months away, but we need to make important decisions now and remain open to changes as the situation remains very fluid. With a view to public health and safety we request that all people attending in person wash or sanitise their hands before entering the hall, and keep personal contact to a minimum, handshaking, hugs and kisses should be avoided. These are troubling times but we feel it is important to maintain camaraderie and keep our spirits up through the joy and fun of community theatre. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Monday evening, be it in person or online via the live feed. See more

02.01.2022 Calling all actors! The Victorian Drama League is holding a monologue competition to make up for the sad cancellation of the Awards Night. Select a monologue fr...om a play or even write your own, film them, upload them to vimeo, and enter the competition. There are categories in both Drama and Comedy. Entries open 10th August - 30th October. All entries will be screened on 15th November. I'm very likely adding my own entries considering I've been having fun writing and filming my own monologues. More details at https://vdl.org.au/vdl-event/monologue-competition-2020/ See more

02.01.2022 Adams Family Auditions Cancelled Due to the CoViD-19 situation the Mornington Peninsula Shire has closed all community halls for non-essential gatherings until at least April 13th. This means we will not be going ahead with auditions this week or starting rehearsals as planned.... We are endeavouring to contact everyone who has already booked an audition directly. We are looking at options for the September musical and will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
