19.01.2022 Spud Thompson Is a cheeky, emotive vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter whose work runs the whole gamut of human emotions. From simple ballad and folk to synthesized electronica, and vintage rhythm & blues. He and the majority of his collaborators are based in Australia. Spud Thompson was born in rural Victoria, surrounded by beaches and bush all around. Plenty of inspiration and an ardent up bringing he brings a diverse range of feelings and emotions throughout the music. Check out Spud Thompson at 2pm on the Main Stage on the Village Green at the Rosebud KiteFest this Sunday! courtesy of Spud Thompson
16.01.2022 The students from The Music Industry have been working hard in preparation to perform for our local community at the Rosebud KiteFest being held this Sunday. They have a four piece rock band called 'Butterknife' and several solo singers and duets performing fabulous crowd pleasing songs. The students range from 10 years of age to 48 years of age so there will be something for everyone! We have so much great talent here on the Peninsula and The Music Industry are excited to share it with you! Head to the Community Stage at 11.45am on Sunday on the foreshore to see The Music Industry students perform

09.01.2022 The Tibbey family have been flying and making kites together for about 3 years. They enjoy going to festivals around Australia and they say that colour is what they do - filling the sky with all sorts of different types of kites. We look forward to seeing what they have on show for us this Sunday at the Rosebud KiteFest

06.01.2022 Trent Baker is currently working at Peter Lynn Kites in New Zealand and he is coming home to attend the Rosebud KiteFest. He attended his first Kite Festival at 3 weeks of age and hasn't been able to let go of a kite line since! Trent has been surrounded by kites all his life and inherited the interest in kites from his parents who run Kites 4 Kids, who will also be at the KiteFest. Keep an eye out for Trent in the Professional Kite Flying display area
04.01.2022 The professional kite flyers are down on the foreshore for a warm up for tomorrow’s KiteFest
02.01.2022 Check out the fantastic map the oh so talented Kerri from Aracari Design created for us This year we are trialing expanding the footprint of the Rosebud KiteFest, to ease the congestion on the foreshore, moving all the food and the bands to the Village Green. All the other activities, kite flying, rides, and market stalls will stay on the foreshore and we will also have a community stage. More details can be found on our website https://rosebudbythebay.com.au/rosebud-kite-festival/
01.01.2022 Another kite flying family we are welcoming to the Rosebud KiteFest are Neil, Tracy, Thomas, and Charlene. Neil started off with 2 string kites more than 20 years ago and then progressed into making them - and now flies large inflatable kites. He is joined by his partner Tracy and twins Thomas and Charlene who attended their first kite fly at 2 days of age and their first festival at 3 months - they now both fly 2 string kites and help their dad out
