22.01.2022 This week is National Volunteer Week, and as we make our final preparations for a Return to Training what better time to give a massive shout-out to the volunteers that are the lifeblood of our club... So, to all of our Committee members past & present, our coaches, our team manager’s, our players who give up their time to double-up as Mini-Roos referees, our amazing parents who help in the canteen and run the line on match days, and our juniors who sell raffle tickets, are m...entors for our youngest members and act as mascot’s for the seniors, we can’t thank you enough! All of you! To all the mums, dads, grandparents and extended family who stand around on freezing training nights and drive for miles on a Sunday for their kids’ love of the game - we salute you! 15.01.2022 Hello to our RSC community - we’re back!! After the strangest of years, when we all did it tough in one way or another, we are thankful to have come out the other side and hope you all continue to be happy, healthy and safe. We are excited to announce our Covid-safe Open & Registration Day for season 2021 will take place on January 17th 12pm-2pm. We have made the decision to hold the day a little later than in previous years to allow for the fact that many of our current & p...rospective members will be making the most of eased restrictions over the first few weeks of the summer holidays. For all current players, parents & families who have not rolled over their 2020 membership then this is the day to re-commit to our great club for what we expect to be the best and most fun season ever - we have a lot to make up for thanks to 2020!!! As always we will be offering early-bird discounts for returning and new members who sign up on this day so don’t miss out. Our AGM is being held on Dec 15th and the new Committee will post updates as the Rego Day draws nearer. 14.01.2022 To our RSC community - Today’s announcement: Update on new lighting at Besgrove St. There’s been a lot of info passed on in the last few days but this news is too good not to share with you... Our new, state-of-the-art floodlights will be installed and fully operational by mid-June. This will make a huge difference to winter training nights and also opens up the potential for our State League men’s team to host Friday night and midweek fixtures.... Work is scheduled to begin on May 28th with an envisaged completion date of June 11th. We will be working closely with the Shire to try to keep disruptions to training to a minimum #ThisIsRosebud #WeRespectTheGame #FootballVictoria

14.01.2022 Good evening RSC community. I wish we were bringing you some better news but unfortunately we’re not...FV have just emailed clubs with an update on competition and it’s not a positive outcome: Senior competition for our men & women will NOT proceed as planned and the formal season has been cancelled FV will consider alternative competitions as an option over spring / summer and will discuss with clubs on an opt-in basis. Junior competition WILL proceed in a modified format..., again on an opt-in basis for all clubs. There are three important conditions to the above announcements: 1. Ongoing Government advice and status of restrictions 2. Level of club & player intent to participate 3. Ground availability At this stage we are unable to commit to any proposed alternative competition until such time as we can have discussions with the Shire, FV, baseball & cricket clubs and of course our members. FV have also confirmed that they are currently reviewing their 2020 fee structure and as soon as they announce their intentions and time-frames for potential fee refunds we will then be able to action refunds as appropriate to our members. We are hugely disappointed to find ourselves in this position. We feel for all of our members & players, parents and extended families, coaches and volunteers, all of whom make this club what it is - the best family football club on the Peninsula. We understand that there will be many questions you will have in the coming days and weeks. We will endeavour, as always, to answer them as quickly and transparently as possible. Please bear with us, if we don’t have the answers we will tell you that, but rest assured we will try to come back to you as soon as practicable. Feel free to use this post to ask any questions you may have, or send us a private message if your question is of a personal nature. As a committee we CAN give you this commitment: Everything we do will always be in the best interests of our club, its members, and our wider community. 07.01.2022 Tuesday May 26th - the day we all had a little piece of normal back in our lives! Junior training resumed this evening Lots of ball work and fitness, no contact and the appropriate social distancing measures were all on the menu. It was a bit strange and a bit different but it was so fantastic to see the kids back on the park. Thank you to everyone who returned to the club tonight. There will still be the odd hiccup along the way as no plan is foolproof and nobody is ...perfect, but it sure is great to be back #ThisIsRosebud #WeRespectTheGame #FootballVictoria #GoBudders

07.01.2022 Afternoon to all in our RSC community. Mornington Shire has been confirmed as a Melbourne Metro region, meaning we return to Stage 3 lockdown at 11:59pm tomorrow. All community sport will be suspended for 6 weeks (unless reduced or extended in the meantime) meaning tonight will be our last training session for a while. We expect an announcement from FV shortly regarding an update on the season and will update everyone as soon as we can. ... We urge everyone to return to the same level of commitment and vigilance that has previously been adhered to in order to keep everyone safe and ensure a smooth transition to normality in 6 weeks time. Words cannot express how disappointed we are to be in this position but whether people agree with the government decision or not, community health & safety must remain the number one priority.
