24.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is feeling ok, whether your feeling unwell or in iso, we hope your keeping your spirits up. We are still in iso but if we can hel...p anyone even if it's someone to message for contact or to vent to, please reach out. Myself, family & staff have our 11 day tests over the next couple of days, hoping these come back all negative & then we'll start planning our re-openings!! I wanted to also say we havnt focused on the initial infected diner because at the end of the day he wasn't going to aid our recovery as a business, a family & a community. From our first phone call we automatically went in to recovery mode, we deep cleaned & as things escalated we informed others to contain & minimize the impact on our staff, customers & Kilmore itself. We loose perspective at times & this year has seen a lot of that but at the end of the day we are a town which is part of a State, which is part of our beautiful Country Australia. We have to stick together, l don't like the division between Metro & Regional VIC that's been happening & l hate the division of our States. The difference is not where you live, it's your integrity & morals. Sometimes we make wrong choices & most of us have at some point & luckily havnt impacted other people. Someone didn't follow restrictions & unfortunately others have been impacted greatly, lm not talking financially, lm talking of people's health both mentally & physically, including his own Father's. There's 100's of Australians that havnt followed restrictions, some have received fines, others get away with it. By this one man's actions we now have stricter guidelines & more awareness which will help us move forward as a State & a Country. I have my eldest son, lots of family & all my longest life long friends who live interstate, l havnt seen any of them all year & that's all l wish for right now. The longer Metro are locked down & boarders closed the more desperate people will become, people are going to find a way to see each other illegally. We have to stick together to get to the other side. We need all of our state & boarders re-opened. I think the current law on not being fined if you co-operate is wrong, they should be fined double if they are found not to be co-operating. They are risking the health & lives of others & need to be made accountable. Those fines should be passed on to the victims who become infected by someone who has not followed restrictions. Some of those victims will have life long medical conditions from this virus. There's a difference between not knowing you have came in contact with the Virus & knowing you have & risking others. Good luck from all of us to those getting their 11 day tests this coming week

15.01.2022 Dear Customer's, I'm sure most of you know by now we have had a customer at The Oddfellows Cafe test positive to Covid-19. We also had the devastating news this afternoon that one of the staff members has tested positive, this staff member does not do any shifts at the Rose Cafe. We have NOT been recommended to close at The Rose or for the staff to quarantine. We have however for the safety of the ourselves & the wider community decided to close for further testing. Th...is may be a few days or longer, l will keep you posted. I'm sorry to all our customers who currently have bookings but l just can't risk the health of the wider community. Until lm sure it's safe to have you dine with us we are closed. I won't be able to call all our bookings so l hope you see this post. Thank you for your understanding Kim, Jade & staff at The Rose

11.01.2022 UPDATE ON The Oddfellows & Rose staff We are glad today is nearly over, its been a day of anticipation for myself & staff as we've waited for most of our test r...esults to come in. We have mixed emotions tonight - We can tell you we have one more confirmed case amongst our staff at the Oddfellows & a confirmed case of a family member, this news has broken our hearts & hope they have a mild case with a quick recovery. That's a total of 4 cases in Kilmore itself that doesn't include the diner from Melbourne. Then on the other hand we are happy to announce all other results today for staff from both cafes have been negative. There have been no positive cases for our staff at The Rose Cafe but all staff have been instructed to quarantine & re-test on the 11th day for both cafes. We are still waiting on a couple of results which we will have over the next couple of days. Both cafes will remain closed for a minimum of 14 days. The Pop up clinic is available again tomorrow at The Memorial Hall for those without symptoms & appointments at The Kilmore Hospital for anyone that does have symptoms. Thank you everyone

05.01.2022 Dear Rose Cafe Customers & wider community.. Just an update to put your minds at ease & keep you in the loop. The Rose has not been instructed to close or been classed as a risk area, we've chosen to close for the safety of everyone & to have all staff tested as a precaution.... All our staff have now been tested & the results so far are all negative. We are still waiting on some & l will let you know as l do. Please still follow the recommendations of getting tested & staying home as much as possible until we know further details. The Kilmore pop up clinic is now operating from the Memorial Hall @ 14 Sydney St Kilmore, between 10am-6pm & by appointment at The Kilmore Hospital. If you do have symptoms l think the hospital is a better option than the pop up clinic to keep yourself away from others waiting to be tested. Stay safe everyone & hopefully we'll be up & running again asap.

01.01.2022 Good Morning, staff are back to it today getting ready for re-opening tomorrow. We will be open from 8.30am tomorrow morning. We are OPEN all weekend including the public holiday. Anyone who doesn't live in Regional VIC will not be able to dine with us but may order take-away.... Photo I.D will now be required. Looking forward to having you all back! 01.01.2022 WE ARE NEARLY BACK! We are happy to inform you that all the staff at The Rose Cafe have had their 11 day tests & have all came back negative! Thank you everyone for the enormous amount of support we've received, it's truly been amazing! We still have a few days of isolation & then it's time to restock & prep ready to re-open. ... We will be operating again from this Tuesday @ 8.30am. Bookings are highly recommended. All of the bookings we had when we had to close will be given first option to re-book, we will call over the weekend & Monday. If you are planning on re-booking please have your preferred date & time ready. All new bookings can be made by calling the Cafe from 10am Monday. We look forward to re-opening & welcoming you back.
