23.01.2022 On World Animal Day I read some of my poems to the animals I met , they are found in my books. from my first book 'Healing for Horses' Your hand has the power... to hurt me or to heal me Look into my eyes to the heart of my soul And choose to heal me It was a trailblazing book ( the first in the world on the topic ) triggering a global shift in awareness. A lot has improved since I wrote that book 20 years ago, but sadly there are still humans involved with horses who dominate them and ignore them as a ' who '. Sometimes it is not intentional but happens when humans turn away from empathy and understanding horses as soul beings. We will all leave this planet one day and the way to enlightenment is to love all animals unconditionally rather than to make them slaves to human ego.

19.01.2022 Have you ever asked yourself .... Does my horse actually want to be ridden? Just because we ‘own’ them doesn’t mean we have the right to do whatever we want with them, does it? Today after a beautiful healing connection with Halo I got the message she really isn’t interested in being ridden at this point in time. I recently started training with her & had a saddle fitted to suit her. She’s been going thru the paces & picks up things very quickly but is her heart in it.... She’s been in my life for six years & has been my reiki partner & teacher ever since. I did feel she was ready & I felt ready too. 04.01.2022 Chilling with my chooks ... back yard chooks are so easy to keep. After keeping many different breeds we have found the Isa Browns are the best. They are sturdy, robust, clever girls that lay beautiful eggs. Ideally they free range & have access to clean, chemical free grass, fresh water & pellets as extra feed but not their primary source of food. Of course they help with household food waste by eating left over scrapes. (Make sure there’s no chicken in the scrapes!!!) ...They also need space to have a dust bath it’s important for them to be able to do. Shady areas are also important and as long as they have these basics they pretty much look after themselves. Happy hens, healthy eggs! #chickens #backyardchickens #freerangechickens See more

02.01.2022 Our animal friends & family are as unique as we are ... we must learn to accept them as they are. KoKo does not enjoy being picked up, she revolts with every ounce of her being when you try to do so but she loves affection, a brush & a pat. Miss Halo my 20 year old mare really dose not like to interact with humans but when approached in a soft, gentle manner she will accept the gestures offered. We must honour & work with our animal friends, not against them, this shows kindness & empathy towards their feelings. #empathy #kindness #compassion #animals #family #friends

01.01.2022 WARNING Graphic Image! Please contact your vet, don’t ask Dr Google or people/friends who are meant to be horsey experts ... they will tell you anything.... I showed this image to a few people, one I was led to believe knows a lot about horses & is very experienced with horses & she told me to clean & put honey on it & that there is nothing that could be done it wouldn’t need stitches! !!! Glad I followed my intuition & contacted my veterinarian . 10 stitches later, tetanus shot, antibiotics & bute. I’m all for Healing on an energetic, spiritual & emotional level but would never hesitate to contact my vet.
