23.01.2022 Looks like Year 6 is going to have an awesome day tomorrow. A big thanks to all the teachers who gave up their day to work with contractors to make sure our Year 6 students have to best farewell ever!!!

Here's a few of the photos I snapped from ...the talented Indigenous dance group to the big all-school parade and ceremony, to a portrait of my good mate, Natasha Foy (the school's Aboriginal Education Officer) in the welcoming circle. 16.01.2022 Parents/Carers Please do not encourage your children to walk through the staff car parks, this is extremely dangerous as there is cars coming and going. If the main pedestrian gate is locked, they are to ring the buzzer and it will be opened for them.

15.01.2022 Some really fantastic news!! The South West Sydney Aboriginal Student Achievement Awards is an annual event that acknowledges the achievements of Aboriginal students - with over 50 different schools nominating in a variety of categories. The Aboriginal Student achievement awards also recognises staff members for excellence in improving Aboriginal education. This year we had 3 student winners: Nicholas, Hunter, and Cooper, congratulations to those students. ... We also had a teacher from Rosemeadow Miss Chahoud who won an award for outstanding commitment to Aboriginal education. This is a massive achievement!! Well done to Rosemeadow!!

15.01.2022 Just a reminder that students are unable to bring in food to share, such as cakes or lollies for birthdays and candy canes for Christmas. This is due to current covid restrictions.

13.01.2022 This term we are having a little fun raffle to promote reading at RPS! Reading is not only an important skill but a source of enjoyment with a huge array of books in our library to keep out kids entertained. When your child borrows a book, they will be given a raffle ticket to go into the draw to win some books at the end of the year. Make sure you know what day your child goes to the library and remind them to bring their library bag and borrow :-)

Tuesday 1st December - State School Yr7 2021 Orientation Friday 4th December - Fun Fair 12 2pm Week 9 Monday 7th December - Year 6 Camp Day Friday 11th December - Presentation Day Week 10 Monday 14th December - Year 6 Graduation and Celebration Day Wednesday 16th December - Last Day of School for students Unfortunately parents are still not able to come on site for the above events due to Covid - Public Health advice. Thursday 17th December - Uniform shop open for Kindergarten parents only Friday 18th December - Uniform shop open for Kindergarten parents only

05.01.2022 Dear Parents, Our whole school Presentation Day is on this Friday the 11th of December. Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions we are still unable to welcome parents and the community on site. The Presentation will begin at 9:15am. We will be filming each grades presentation and uploading it to Seesaw on the day so that you are able to be a part of the celebration. Thank you for your ongoing support.

02.01.2022 Parents/carers If you have a child who is leaving our school or going to high school next year, we have sent their asthma puffers, spacers and epipens home in their bags today. Please make sure you check your child’s school bag.

01.01.2022 NAIDOC Week Celebrations begin on Monday 9th November. All students are encouraged to wear their coloured sports shirts next Monday the 9th of November. Each class will have the opportunity to participate in engaging cultural activities, followed by a walk on our school oval. ... There will be lots of authentic cultural learning based activities throughout the duration of the entire week for students to share and learn about ancient traditions. The NAIDOC 2020 theme - Always Was, Always Will Be. - recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace and acknowledge the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations. There will also be a special NAIDOC Lunch for students to order.
