25.01.2022 On Saturday 15th September, Rosemont House Montessori held their annual Open Day. This year looked a little different due to our current COVID protocols, howeve...r we were so grateful to the lovely families who patiently waited in line to enter. Our Edurarers were very busy showing parents through both of our environments and we found that the structure of the session provided families with the opportunity to ask questions specific to their unique situations. We were very fortunate to meet more than 90 new smiling faces and wish to thank our amazing staff, whose passion and joy is evident it all that they contribute to Rosemont House.

25.01.2022 Yesterday, a small group of children ventured out into our nature play space to pick some of our beautifully ripe oranges, lemons and collect some fresh mint from the herb garden. They then enjoyed a delightful morning tea, with freshly squeezed orange juice and mint tea! They also made a delicious lemon cake to share for afternoon tea!

23.01.2022 Today, our small group of Preschool children set off on the short walk down the road to deliver some very special mail! We have truly missed seeing our dear friends at Wynwood Nursing Home and have spent the week creating cards for the residents. We dressed in our waterproof onesies and waved and chatted through the window. It was so special to see their smiling faces!

09.01.2022 The art of self-correction! One of the many beautiful elements of the Montessori materials, is that they are self-correcting. This allows children to make new discoveries independently, creating a deeper level of understanding. (I could just watch this video all day! )

08.01.2022 Some gorgeous literacy story trays that are quite easy to arrange at home, for those still isolating. Simply choose a favourite story and then locate some objects related to your book. Arrange it on a tray or in a tub and then add it to your shelves for your children to explore. Have fun!
