25.01.2022 Our recital yesterday was marvellous. Pam Christie created a program especially for us and enhanced it by explaining a little about each piece and what it meant to her. The program she chose were pieces that created emotions of all kinds but mainly peace and serenity. It was uplifting. Thank you Pam, and thank you for the very different encore (Scott Joplin). I personally enjoyed very much.

22.01.2022 What a fabulous weekend in the Pyrenees. So much to do!! A walk around Mt Buangor, discovering an new resident at Rosetta's Retreat, enjoying paella, wine and jazz at Summerfield Winery and hearing soprano, opera singer Piera Dennerstein jamming with the band!! Whoohoo!

20.01.2022 We have been at Rosetta's Retreat for several years now and it is wonderful to have found this new inhabitant. The shingle back lizard is friendly and very healthy looking. Interacting with the wildlife is so cheering.

19.01.2022 You may remember I recently posted the first chapter of a children's book I have just completed. The characters are based on animals that live around our property in Trawalla. I have struggled a bit with the illustrations as it is art work I haven't done before. After a lot of practice and research here are some watercolours. I would love some feedback.

18.01.2022 Do you know if this is a dried up fungus on the side of the tree or is it some kind of structure made by insects?

11.01.2022 The photos from the previous post didn't post with the video so here they are.

09.01.2022 See you on Sunday the 3rd of June (drop off your donations around the back of the ASRC, you can drive right into our garage, directly opposite 46 Albert Street, Footscray). If you can't make it on the day, your #DONATION would be amazing right here: https://goo.gl/b7csiS

07.01.2022 This is the biggest echidna I have ever seen. It tried to hide in the wood pile when it heard me coming. I sat and waited and waited and finally it lifted its head out of the detritus, thinking I had gone. Then I watched it waddle off in the cutest way. It was such a lovely experience

06.01.2022 We will be spending the day in Beaufort tomorrow, Saturday, to see this great exhibition, the book sale and finishing off at the wine sale. What a day!!!

02.01.2022 Our property at Trawalla and the adjacent Trawalla State forest have wonderful birds and animals. Watching the changes in their behaviour over the seasons has been magical. This experience has stimulated me into writing a children's story using the wildlife as characters. The story contains many current social and political issues. I have begun to do illustrations for the story and I decided to post the first chapter here just for fun and see what reaction I get. The seeds of...Continue reading

02.01.2022 With all this unbearable weather the water lilies are at their best. They seem to be lapping it up and are the largest in size that they have ever been. We have had some lovely experiences with the wild life - beautiful black water wallabies, lizards, fairy wrens... it doesn't stop. We have paradise at Trawalla. It has inspired my 3rd children's story in the series of Stories From the Understory.
