23.01.2022 Shija Mathew, one of our local artists, is holding an exhibition at Windsor Gallery through November, a must see. Shija has also just delivered some new works to us here at Rosevears Hotel Art Gallery and we are just amazed at the talent this wonderful lady has. Why not come and take a look for your self.
22.01.2022 Still love the blue works in the Gallery, as do our guests. Come and wander through.
17.01.2022 We have some great gift ideas in our gallery for those interstate and overseas family and friends. These items travel well (small and light for suitcases) and give receipts a little touch of Tasmania to take home with them. Why not come in and have a wander around.
17.01.2022 A look at one of our artists: Helene Boyer With a background in painting and sculpture Helene came into glass work a little later in life but hasn’t stopped since finding this great passion. Allowing her hand made glass beads to take on a life of their own; everyone is individual and unique just like their maker. But Helene hasn’t stopped at beads and jewellery she also creates amazing glass sculptures and Pate de Verre Bowls which we have been lucky enough to have on display in our Gallery over the years that Helene has been exhibiting in our gallery. It is always worth a look in our Gallery to see the amazing creations that Helene pours her heart into everyday.

06.01.2022 COMMUNITY DURING TIMES OF COVID-19 First and foremost, nothing is more important to us than the health & safety of our cherished employees, guests & communi...ty. We at Rosevears Hotel are striving to be as positive, prepared and pro-active as possible in order to steer our way through these challenging times in order to keep our staff employed, and we thank you all for your ongoing support. We are acutely aware of the challenges that COVID-19 brings to our business & environment. We have asked ourselves What can we do? Not just for our business, but for our community in this time of uncertainty. Here’s where we’ve started: We are continually monitoring official announcements from the Govt and Health Dept, and updating our team as advice develops. We are providing our employees with protective equipment where necessary and making sure everyone is increasing the level of hygiene to include sanitising not only tables, but chairs between seatings. We are maintaining open communication with all of our team, ensuring employees practise excellent hygiene including more frequent handwashing, and offering support to unwell employees, so they are able to stay home. We are removing all of our tableware, and serving to order, to decrease the likelihood of contamination. We are frequently cleaning heavily touched surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes, including door handles, table tops and light switches. We are encouraging guests to use cashless payment options and no longer accepting keepcups (But you are welcome to pour your drinks from our mugs into your environmentally-friendly option, yourself!) We are also looking at implementing an additional service enabling us to deliver fresh food as a takeway service to our local community. THIS IS WHERE WE WANT YOUR INPUT! For too long, people have relied on large business to supply solutions, including our food. As we can see, that’s not sustainable, nor is it the way we’re going to come out of this with the most positive outcomes. We take pride in the fact we’ve supported local farmers and producers from day one of taking over management of Rosevears Hotel We’d love to facilitate community support during this time through offering takeaway options and fresh produce hampers. We currently have ongoing relationships with Sandy’s Sourdough, Tamar Fungi, Yorktown Organics, Kyeema Seafoods and Freshline So what would you love to see? Let us know in the comments or via message (call us if you prefer!) and when crowdsourced some ideas, we’ll be asking for feedback. It’s time to band together online, while we physically distance as much as necessary for the most vulnerable in our community. While we’re slowing down for the greater good, we can still connect with immediate family, see this downtime as a gift, keep our spirits high and nourish our bodies with delicious and thoughtful food. For those who continue to support our business in the coming weeks, enabling our staff to keep coming to work, we are incredibly grateful for your support and will do everything in our power to keep us all safe. Now is not the time to get snarky at the supermarket, but to get vocal about shopping local, reaching out to those that need more assistance due to their circumstances and being extra kind to make our community stronger than ever! Together, we are confident we can get through this. Our team value your ongoing support, and look forward to hearing what you think of our exciting hampers idea, so we can cater to your needs. Wishing you all good health, Team Rosevears
05.01.2022 Joanne Mitchelson dropped off this gorgeous new original watercolor of our beautiful Tamar River yesterday. We are very excited and honoured to be the first gallery to be able to exhibit this piece from a very talented lady.
03.01.2022 Always something new coming into the gallery, always worth a wonder through.
03.01.2022 Each month in conjunction with the West Tamar Arts society we show a piece or two from one of their previous exhibitions. For the month of August we have two pieces from artist Mike Joines, why not come and take a look.
01.01.2022 Just a few pretty pictures...
