25.01.2022 As the 2020 HSC Examinations begin today, we are so proud of our Year 12 and we wish them all the very best. You’ve got this girls! #RosevilleCollege #HSC

25.01.2022 From the Archives: One of the earliest ongoing publications of Roseville College was The Scroll, published throughout the 1930s. The Scroll, named so in reference to the original College crest, was first published by the Old Girls Union in 1932 and had a run of five years until 1936. Much like The Rose, the Colleges current magazine, each edition of The Scroll aimed to link past and present girls invoking memories of Roseville College in the early years while recording t...he doings of the present students. The 1932 edition was only 11 pages long and included the lyrics to the first school song, sporting and academic results, class reports, creative writing and social news from the previous classes. As one of the earliest records of our College, these magazines are incredibly valuable references and evidence to our College history without which these memories and stories would otherwise have been lost. In 1992, The Rose magazine was established and continues to connect Alumni with the current College community. Visit rosevillecollege.com/the-rose to read the current edition of The Rose. See more

On Wednesday mornings during this time, we had 32 group lessons taught by 9 specialist instrumental tutors over 8 session times all over video conferencing! Our girls took this all in their stride and even enriched their musical learning by investigating the lives of a range of composers, including Beethoven. #RosevilleCollege

22.01.2022 With an incredible $48,000 raised so far and only a few days to go until our annual Foundation Scholarship appeal ends on 30 June, we hope to raise a further $10,000. This important initiative offers a life-changing scholarship to a girl who would otherwise not have the means to attend our school. To help us get there the Roseville College Foundation Committee have very generously pledged a $5,000 matching donation. New donations up to the value of $500 will be matched dolla...r for dollar! This means a gift from you now can double its impact! We are calling on our wonderful community if you are in a position to give, please help us reach our target. To donate, please visit rosevillecollege.com/giving. #RosevilleCollege

18.01.2022 The Roseville we know today is very different to when the College was founded in 1908. One of the first students to ever attend Roseville College, Doris Witney, wrote a letter in 1971 to a school friend about her time at the College and what it was like growing up during the early 1900s. Below is an extract of her letter, now held in the Colleges archives. When going to school in the early days I would take the short cut across the paddocks, over the creek from the corner o...f Hill Street and Lord Street, now the Bancroft Avenue area. The schools cottage in Victoria Street was the last in a row running down the hill, then there was a break where the playground was situated, some spare bush where the creek went through and then houses started back up the hill again. Sometimes after school, I used to go home with Marie Campbell, whose home was in Boundary Street. We would put the reins on her pony and both get on her back and trot through the bush, sometimes meeting the baker and his cart. If you would like to share some memories from your time at the College, please contact our Archivist by emailing [email protected]. #RosevilleCollege
