20.01.2022 JUMP FOR JOY Weddings are back Melbourne! It has been a long year for so many couples; postponing, rescheduling, reducing numbers, changing venues. ... But we are back. Please keep in mind your vendors and suppliers may take a little longer to reply to you over the next few days, but they are here & just as excited as you are! If not more. I know there are only 5 and a bit weeks left of 2020, but you’d be surprised just how quickly a wedding can come together Throwback to this Summer wedding I styled in Spain @cristianprieto.filmmaker @silvia.serra I’m pretty sure everyone in Victoria is feeling this vibe today : : : : : #wedding #weddingday #bride #groom #weddingsareback #jumpforjoy #melbourne #weddingstylist #menswear #mensfashion #menswearstylist #personalstylist #personalshopper #rosevincistyling

14.01.2022 Watching Victoria’s numbers daily hoping they stay between 30-50 (if not lower) for the next fortnight. We got this Victoria

14.01.2022 F A C T As I creep closer and closer to my 40th Year on this Earth, I can honestly say, nothing feels more accurate. Everyone thinks women are so afraid of getting older. ... The truth is, we grow into our power. We’re just getting started. To the young women out there, be patient with yourself. Be kind to yourself. The best is yet to come xo

11.01.2022 It’s fascinating the way pain can manifest in the body. And often the cause of the pain has nothing to do with the source of the pain itself. It’s just your body sending you warnings. That you’re about to have a crappy day, week, month. That one day you’ll be awake all night until the birds start chirping (like today) or you’ll sleep all day and still feel like you could sleep for another week. The body will tell you what it needs, you just need to lean in, do the work & lis...ten. It’s hard, it’s tiring, it’s constant & it’s always changing. Nearly 85,000 Australians live with Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, yet not that many people have even heard of it, let alone understand it. There is currently no cure & very little government funding for research. No two people will experience their disease in the same way. And symptoms will not always present in the same way, even in the same person. It may be harder for us to function at times, but we still function. It may be harder for us to socialise and maintain relationships, but it’s definitely easier if we talk about it, especially with our loved ones. I always try to be upfront with my clients and explain that I have an autoimmune disease. It doesn’t affect my ability to work, but it does make my ability to work a lot easier if people are aware. This isn’t a complaint, or a post for sympathy. It’s just to make people understand. There are so many things people are going through in their everyday lives that you don’t see. On top of fires raging and homes lost. On top of a global pandemic and lives lost. On top of a recession and jobs and livelihoods lost. On top of a climate crisis. On top of a social justice movement and a historical revolution. Life is hard. For a lot of people. 2020 has made a lot of lives a lot harder without warning or explanation. We need to be able to talk about it. We need to be patient and kind; with each other and with ourselves. #hiddenillness #crohnsandcolitis #ucwarrior #ruok

10.01.2022 The wedding industry in Victoria, like so many industries, has been hit hard in 2020. It is constantly changing, and it seems as soon as we get used to the new rules, the goal posts are moved again. It makes it hard to plan for a wedding when you can’t plan for a particular date months away. ... But there are some positives to take from Sunday’s announcement; the possibility of up to 50 guests come late November gives many couples a starting point. No one knows when border restrictions will ease; domestically or internationally, so if there is someone you desperately want by your side I would recommend holding off. Other than that, anything can be accommodated. As I’ve said before your mentality now shifts from the wedding of your dreams to marrying the person of your dreams. And if you don’t want to wait any longer than absolutely necessary, start planning for that last week in November and onwards. Your vendors and suppliers, as always, are here to help you as much as possible, even if it’s just to talk, rant, cry. : : : : : #wedding #weddingrestrictions #notbusinessasusual #loveinthetimeofcorona #weddingday #weddingplanners #styling #stylist #persnalstylist #personalshopper #mensfashion #menssuits #groom #groomsmen #groomsmenstyle #rosevincistyling Words in the second image taken from @michaelbriggsphotography

06.01.2022 Hi All, October is Mental Health Month. I have decided to take part in One Foot Forward this October to help raise money for mental health research in Australia.... I have set the goal of 40k as I have been recovering from a back injury for the last five weeks, so this will help keep me motivated to get out on those daily walks. Hopefully I can manage to do more. I realise 2020 has been a shitshow of a year that started off with fundraising for the Bushfires & has been financially crippling for a lot of people, but if you could donate a few dollars it would be greatly appreciated. Our mental health is more important now than it ever has been before. I have added the link to my profile & it is also on my fb page. Thankyou in advance x

05.01.2022 it’s written all over your face I don’t know about you, but I’m that person that puts my Christmas tree up in November. It just puts me in a good mood With masks still mandatory across Victoria (for the time being) why not spread a little Christmas cheer every time you leave the house & remind ourselves and each other why we just went through one of the hardest lockdowns ever.... Seeing our loved ones gathered around our table will hit different this year. And for those of you that still won’t be able to get home for Christmas, my heart goes out to you x : : : : #masks #masksforsale #masks4all #maskup #maskupmelbourne #handmademasks #christmasmasks #christmasmasksforsale #christmasspirit #santaclausiscoming

04.01.2022 REAL TALK Some days be like that Today was the day we were meant to come out of lockdown in Victoria, instead it was just announced that the State of Emergency & State of Disaster would be extended for another four weeks.... Whilst this continues to drive our numbers down & we realise we are so lucky in comparison to other parts of the World, today masks six months since everything came to a grinding halt. I remember Victoria shutting down vividly. The week before I had been catching up with a fellow stylist talking about the year ahead & how amazing 2020 was going to be. The year that all the hard work and sacrifices started paying off. It was the middle of Melbourne Fashion Festival & I was meant to attend a Hugo Boss event. Something about it made me nervous & then the next day, just like that, events were cancelled, travels were halted and any upcoming work was gone in the blink of an eye. Work I’d spent months preparing and budgeting for behind the scenes. Gone. Like that. Wardrobe makeovers, Styling sessions, Photo shoots, Weddings, Red Carpets, Brownlow, Spring Racing Carnival. My business had not been running for 12 months when we first shut down, so I am exempt from alot of government assistance that is available for small business; including Job Keeper. I don’t know what the road out of lockdown will mean for my small business when the day eventually comes that we are ‘covid normal’ It’s a frustrating, scary, humbling experience being a business owner in 2020. You finally take the leap to follow your passion and then you get hit with something you could never possibly predict or plan for. We’re all weathering the same storm but we’re not all in the same boat. Show kindness always, because some days can be truly devastating. Please think of people like me when you get frustrated and want to flout the rules. Businesses that are desperate to get back to work & hope the work is there when the time to get back eventually comes back around.

03.01.2022 I don’t know about you, but I could really go for some precedented times Fingers crossed for some good news tomorrow Melbourne
