25.01.2022 Has any of our swimming members got photos of our swim night tonight with the relays and Santa. I would like to post some on our page if possible.
25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, as championships are fast approaching I am posting the eligibility criteria for age Championships to be held on the 11th and 18th March. Swimmers must have swum the stroke ( not distance ) a minimum of 5 times for them to be eligible to compete for that stroke. All swimmers 9 years and over have to swim 50 m in that stroke and all swimmers 8 years and under need to swim unassisted to be eligible. All members need to be financial and if joined after school holidays they need to have swum each stroke a minimum of 3 times. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact us. Nominations need to be in this Wednesday night.
24.01.2022 Don’t forget our AGM tomorrow morning at 8.30 am at the Rosewood Aquatic Centre. There is a lot to put in place for the season. Hoping to see many of you there so our club can continue to run as smoothly as possible under the current guidelines.
24.01.2022 Due to the weather conditions there will be no B-B-Q tonight. At this stage we are still hoping to hold our swim club meet but will make a further decision at about 5.30 pm. Keep an eye out on fb for further information
23.01.2022 Please be reminded that tonight is the first night of our Club Championships. The strokes will be Freestyle and Butterfly. We will also require 2 time keepers per lane to go ahead. If you can please be of any assistance it will be appreciated. See you all tonight!!
23.01.2022 Hi to all our members and friends, it seems such a long time since our last meeting due to the situation we have found ourselves in this year. Our AGM is very belated this year due to COVID restrictions but we are holding the AGM this Saturday 19th September at 8.30am at the Rosewood Aquatic Centre. It would be beneficial for our members to attend so you can be up to date with the guidelines for COVID restrictions for the upcoming season. We are always looking for committee members to help with the running of the club and this season more than ever. Hope to see many of you there.
23.01.2022 A massive swimming weekend for 5 of our Rosewood Rays members. Thomas and Lucas Bryant, Emily Little, Bronte and Abbey Wright. 4 out of the 5 competed at Woogaroo on Saturday and all 5 competed at the Gatton meet on Sunday. All of our swimmers achieved great personal best times for their efforts, so a huge congratulations to these swimmers for their accomplishments.
23.01.2022 Rosewood Rays Swim Club are offering a trial period of 3 weeks to anyone interested in swimming. The club nights are every Wednesday at the Rosewood Pool starting at 6 pm. The members of are club are a friendly and welcoming group of people that we like to think of as our swim family. Come down and try for yourself and enjoy the family friendly atmosphere.
21.01.2022 After careful consideration of all the facts and government advice on the corona virus we will still be going ahead with our last night of age championships this Wednesday. We are only a small number and we are not in an enclosed area or static so therefore we are holding our last 2 strokes but we will leave it up to the individual families to decide for themselves if they want to participate. There is room for social distancing to occur but each family needs to make the decision they deem right for their own situation. Hopefully we will see everyone there on Wednesday night.
18.01.2022 Hooray, swimming is finally back. Rosewood Rays has decided to hold our 19/20 season trophy presentation and sign-on help together on Wednesday the 7th October at 5.30 pm at the Rosewood Aquatic Centre. Ther will be free swim and relays (time permitting) after presentations. Any one interested in joining this season is welcome to come and see what our club is all about. Swimming is a great way to get back into sport after such a long break and relatively safe as you are swimming in your own lane in chlorinated water. We hope to see all our past members and many new faces on Wednesday 7th October for our first gathering in what seems like an eternity, the club has missed you all.
18.01.2022 Our scheduled swim club presentation for this Wednesday is no longer a possibility. Pools throughout Brisbane have closed and Ipswich Council and pool management are in meetings at the moment, but will be closed as well. Our presentation will now be held when we reconvene for the 20/21 season. We look forward to a fantastic start to our new season at the beginning of October. Everyone stay safe and healthy. Thank you all for your continued support. Regards Rosewood Rays Swim Club
18.01.2022 Pool has been closed so no Club tonight guys!! See you next week!!
17.01.2022 Due to school info evening, P & F meeting and AGM we will be very short on our usual volunteers for our swim club night, therefore I thought I would cancel Wednesday night early. We are also expecting storms tomorrow afternoon/ evening and a lot of the children will be swimming at Western Ranges at Gatton on Thursday, so taking into consideration all of this I think we will have to miss this week. I can do up manual timing sheets if there are enough people willing to time-keep and Marshall as I will not be available until approximately 6.30 pm at this stage. If you know of other club members that aren’t on Facebook could you please pass this on to them.
16.01.2022 Welcome back to our new season, Swimming is off and running again. For our previous members, you should be receiving your renewals this week so keep an eye out for them and for those that are interested in joining our club come down to The Rosewood Aquatic Centre on Wednesday 7th October at 5.30 pm. We will be having our 2019/20 season trophy presentation on that first Wednesday on return to school starting at 5.30 pm. We will endeavour to have a free swim and relays ( time permitting ) after presentations and help those that may require assistance in signing up through swim central. Hope to see you all back and look forward to seeing some new faces as well.

01.01.2022 A big congratulations to 4 of our swimmers who competed at St. Peter’s Western swim meet at Indooroopilly on the weekend.
