22.01.2022 || When do numbers balance? || Last week in maths, Prep students were learning all about balancing! They completed lots of different activities to help them discover when numbers balance. Students even had a go at making their own balance scales and see-saws to help them solve problems. So much fun to be had while learning at the same time! Dont forget we are taking 2021 enrolments now. Contact our office for further information.

17.01.2022 This year the official National NAIDOC week celebrations have been rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, at Rosewood State School we were able to maintain our planned incursion in week one of Term Three and will celebrate and recognise the First Nations people who have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We have sourced an exciting opportunity to immerse our classes in the culture of Aboriginal Australia through the use of Virtual Reality... headsets. Students will be introduced to the Pamagirri Aboriginal group through VR headsets and go on a full 360-degree tour of the Far North Queensland rainforest. The workshop also includes interactive educational games about bush tucker and hunting, as well as an incredible CGI video about the Dreamtime. The student workshops will take place on the 13th, 14th and 17th of July (first week back). Students are encouraged to bring a gold coin donation for the Student Council and may add indigenous colours to their uniforms in the first week back of Term Three. Watch this space for the Class Timetable and more information! To see an example of this workshop visit: https://egincursions.com//virtual-reality-aboriginal-austr
