19.01.2022 Today the HASS Extension Group celebrated their successes with a trip into Fremantle. We were lucky to meet and spend time with Frane Lessac (Author & Illustrator) who gave us background into her stories and showed us how to draw Ned Kelly. Thank you The Literature Centre for an inspiring session. We concluded our great day out with a yummy lunch and a stroll along the beach.

17.01.2022 Just a reminder that tomorrow 20th November is a Pupil Free Day.

13.01.2022 Due to COVID 19 Lockdown NAIDOC Celebrations have been postponed. We will advise families when a new date has been confirmed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

03.01.2022 Dear Families As you have heard, we are now in Phase 1 restrictions in relation to COVID-19. Our Director General has asked that all adults who enter a school site in the Perth and Peel regions must wear a mask and the physical distancing of 2 square metres applies. Parents can enter the school to order lunches at the canteen and drop students off at their classes. Please do not enter the classrooms if possible. Unfortunately we have to cancel the Year 5 & 6 winter carnival... on Tuesday 29 June. Money will be refunded or used as credit for swimming to those involved. At this stage, NAIDOC activities on Wednesday 30 June will continue with adults in attendance wearing masks and following physical distancing requirements. Please stay safe and if you have been to an exposure site or are showing symptoms, please get tested. Regards Louise Nielsen Principal

02.01.2022 I would like to invite parents and carers to join us at our NAIDOC celebrations on Thursday 12th November. Assembly will begin at 9:10. During the year a group of our Year 6 students have been working on a Leadership Project which has been an initiative of the City of Wanneroo. A group of our students, assisted by Mrs Foley, have developed a walking trail within the school grounds. We have called this trail the Djen Djen Bidi (Two feet walking) and we will be launching the tr...ail at our NAIDOC celebrations. The Djen Djen Bidi recognises 11 significant sites within our school grounds. We have had plaques made to identify these important cultural areas and we welcome our families’ attendance at our launch on Thursday. Following the launch of the Djen Djen Bidi at our assembly, the classes will walk around the trail and stop at the 11 sites, reflecting on the cultural significance of each site. Each class will then complete an activity based on the trail during the morning and we would be happy for you to join in with these activities should you like to stay. At lunch time, we will be having a free kangaroo sausage sizzle which we hope that many of our parents/carers and visitors will also attend. The afternoon will consist of completing some sand paintings on our oval and we would be happy for the additional support of the AIEOs to join in the fun with this activity too.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to all our Year 1-4 HASS Extension students on their fantastic presentations today. We are all very proud of you and your efforts. I would also like to thank parents and teachers for their involvement. The project would not have been as successful as it was without you. Kind Regards, Trish Lee
