24.01.2022 yesterday, i sat at my office desk knowing i would receive our result from our recent assessment and rating visit. i notified all my team that within an hour we would have our result. we all anxiously awaited. within 1/2 hour the email was there. i opened it and the tears fell. we received EXCEEDING the national standards. what a wonderful way to end the year! im so blessed to work with a team of women who inspire me, honour my vision, and too believe it is their sacred work to love, nurture and educate children. it takes a village and what a village i have.

23.01.2022 Weve been researching family rhythms over the past month and have offered our families a series of information around Family Rhythms, beginning with; The heart of Family Culture - The Love Connection. Within this series, we have shared a lovely meditation practice called Heartfulness. The path of meditation offers an inner field in which to practice skills of self-awareness, self-regulation, and integration insight, courage and strength.... The meditation we have shared helps cultivate a calm centre in the midst of the cyclic movements of life. Mary Ainsworth and thirty years of research in attachment studies show that the mothering style (primary caregiving style) predicts emotional traits later in life. Who we are and how we relate to our child shapes them in long-lasting and measurable ways. The busyness of daily life and juggling many hats, can find us overly stressed, highly sensitive and reactive. How we respond to the rush of daily life matters. This does not mean being perfect parents, awareness is the key and developing balance comes from within.

22.01.2022 infusing our daily rhythm with holistic experiences, not only cultivates presence and mindfulness for the children, it provides moments for educators to take breath and wholeheartedly engage with the children. the children we invited to create affirmation flowers made out of recycled packaged boxes, paper and newspaper. The children were given three different sized circles and the children were required to follow directions while they assembled their flowers. We all slowed ...down and were present. After the children painted their flowers, they were asked if the remember what an affirmation was? this was described as positive affirming statement we say to ourselves. Each children was invited to close their eyes, and pick out an affirmation. the affirmation was read to the children, they repeated it and glued it to their flower. i am strong. i am brave. i am love. i am surrounded by kind people. i am happy and many more.
21.01.2022 We were very lucky to meet Mo Mo this week. Mo Mo is a pink galah who has been rescued, nurtured and loved back to vibrant health. The children sat under our maple tree eating their morning tea talking to Mo Mo, while birds flew above and a symphony of calls could be heard.

13.01.2022 Over the past month our hearts at Rosey Pot have beat a different rhythm. We have received incredible support and love, close and a far and we know that our families have felt our love too. For some of us at home, we are learning to navigate a home rhythm that looks nothing like it was, it is overwhelming and nourishing at the same time, and for other families coming to Rosey Pot has stirred emotions that are too also overwhelming and nourishing. Whatever the decision has be...en to self-isolate from Rosey Pot or not have a choice and still require early childhood education, we are honoured to be a part of your family’s journey. Our traditional days look vastly different to each of us. We would like to introduce to emotional literacy goals you may like to reflect upon. How are my children feeling? Can they communicate their feelings, needs during these uncertain times? Do they feel safe? Am I helping them navigate the bumps we are experiencing in the world? Are they sleeping and moving their bodies, breathing fresh air and getting sun on their bodies? We don’t know what our world will be like when we emerge from this, however connecting within whatever that looks like for you is important for you and your children. We are slowly posting on our blog pathways with attainable outcomes using resources you will have in your homes, and our teachers adore you all.
10.01.2022 Throughout our day, we are mindful to the slow and the pause. With this awareness it grounds the children into their body and they become aware that their bodies speak to them when given the opportunities to listen. We have been delighted to have found and connected with our wider community @whole.beings and purchased a beautiful mindfulness board. The children gathered in circle and we discussed the board. The board asks us to think about the elements of gratitude, slow ...down path, kindness tree, meditation pond, self - love stardust and visualisation rainbow. All the children were given a crystal, closed their eyes and infused it with love. This sparked the conversation about the energy we each infused and inquire if that is why the crystals feel warm? One child was invited to put a crystal on the area he would like to be mindful of today. He picked self-love stardust. All the children spoke the affirmation... Today I sprinkle stardust in my heart. We then took a crystal each, thought of something we each loved about ourselves and put the stones on the stardust symbol. I love you, I am love were the words spoken and our bodies felt each and everyone's love the were unraveling. Whole Beings See more
08.01.2022 we are all visitors to this time, this place. we are just passing through. our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and return home. - australian aboriginal proverb always was, always will be.
06.01.2022 much attention is given to the realm of relationships at rosey pot. today, we poured some warm water in a bowl, adding a few drops of lavender oil and a lovely linen cloth. the teacher lovingly washed each child’s hands before lunch. little freckles on hands were noticed, eye contact was held and hands were dried with loving care. this unhurried approach within the transition to lunch was conscious and supported.
02.01.2022 she sat down and put some love hearts she made in a little play dough pinch pot. love is happy, she beamed as she place a heart in my hand.
