04.01.2022 Rosny College Dance - It has felt odd teaching Dance online - working apart from each other over the first four weeks of term 2, however, we have literally covered a lot of ground dance wise!. We explored choreographic ideas and safety concepts including anatomy, safety when warming- up and looking at the history of Modern Dance. We have used Kahoots, Prezis, YouTube, our mobile phones, OneNote, Microsoft Teams and PowerPoints to provide platforms for learning in Dance during our at home learning period. In line with much of the rebellious nature of Modern and Contemporary Dance (and the choreographers works we have looked at namely Trisha Brown, Twyla Tharp, William Forsythe and Akram Khan): we have danced out in the open air, and in alternate spaces using our backyards, kitchens, lounge rooms and bedrooms as performance spaces.

And finally worked in the home state in 2019, playing Jacqueline in Rosehaven season 4. My debut short film RILEY is currently in Post Production and about to film my second short film here in Tasmania. HOW DID ROSNY HELP YOU WITH YOUR PATHWAY? I found the schools high standards (particularly for me in Performing Arts) great preparation for Drama School and the work force beyond.

03.01.2022 The Rosny College Musical Project 2020 Scenes from Wicked The Rosny College Musical is a highly regarded and anticipated event each year. As Covid 19 hit Tasmania just over half way through our rehearsal process our staff and students were devastated to be forced to halt production. Thankfully with the return to school late Term 2 we were able to regroup our cast, crew and costume team and with close work with the UTAS Conservatorium of Music Team The Rosny Musical Proje...ct was born to fill the gap and ensure our students could still gain experience and assessment in their chosen field. On Friday afternoon students worked on stage and behind the scenes to present polished musical theatre songs and scenes. This was presented in-house to a small audience for assessment purposes only due to covid restrictions. Thank you to everyone for pulling together to make this learning opportunity possible. Due to the combined effort over 70 students were able to gain assessments and TCE points across a range of UTAS, TASC and VET courses. It was also wonderful to see the students performing in our theatre again after what has been a tough year for them all as well as the Arts. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
