24.01.2022 PRAYERS BEGIN WITH HIM ... is a song which reminds us that our prayers should always begin by asking God to help us fulfill His purpose for our lives. Everything else then falls into place as we live the life He created us for. Please remember that these songs are not so much Songs of Praise but rather they are songs which remind us of Jesus' example of how we should live. This is so important. I believe that this is all too often missing from our singing in church. We must a...rticulate Jesus' example in any way possible and music is such a powerful medium. My prayer everyday is that we should make an effort to do this in our singing (perhaps during the Offering at your church) . After all it was Jesus who said : ' Take my yoke upon you and LEARN FROM ME and you will find rest for your souls .. ..' Matthew 11 : 29-30. Our singing should not in my opinion be just about praising God (albeit which is of paramount importance) or we may inadvertently be missing something perhaps of equal importance. * I would be so grateful if you could share this page with friends. 24.01.2022 Fruit of His Love ..... reminds us of the qualities which Jesus exemplified as those to which we should aspire Why did I feel the need to compose these songs? Album 1 Your Word My Song and Album 2 Thy Will Truly Done... It’s a cliché but I simply wanted to give something back Because of my extensive background as a music teacher I naturally thought music would be the most appropriate way but please read on Ask a Christian Why did God send Jesus? and the usual answer is that God sent Jesus to die for our sins so that we may be forgiven. To this end most of the songs we sing about God are Songs of Praise. That’s of course as it should be. We have felt His sacrifice and we joyfully sing His praise. BUT in this fallen world are we missing something ? Are we missing .. Jesus The Teacher? The Bible says ‘ take my yoke upon you and LEARN FROM ME and you will find rest for your souls ‘ Matthew 11 : 29-30 Jesus also taught us by His example how to live our lives. Yet we seldom remind ourselves in song of the scriptures which should guide our lives. Surely then as we have heard His teaching we must also honour Him by articulating in song the lessons He has taught us by His perfect example. Every song on these albums centres around scripture eg Nobody Like Him ‘ . Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding . ‘ Proverbs 3 : 5-6 Grace is Enough ‘ . My grace is sufficient for you and my power is made perfect in weakness . ‘ 2 Corinthians 13 : 8-10 I had been attending church for no other reason than to give thanks to God for the many blessings in my life but I needed something more. If God created each one of us uniquely then perhaps I could express my appreciation uniquely and give something back which could make a difference for good. We all know that music can be an incredibly powerful medium. I prayed that God would both inspire and enable me to write music which was perhaps a little different from other praise and worship songs many of which have so incredibly inspired me. Such is my growing passion for this God who had in His perfect time given my life renewed purpose that I began to listen even more intently to the messages at my local church each week and to make notes as I listened. I made a commitment to composing appealing, singable songs which hopefully would get stuck in your head but which more importantly embodied the sentiments of God’s Word.

22.01.2022 GRACE IS ENOUGH - Thy Will Truly Done series - Next Wednesday. We continue the theme which aims to encourage Christian churches which sing songs of praise to consider again including SONGS WHICH EMANATE FROM SCRIPTURE as churches used to do. We have composed new songs fit for purpose which are easy to sing and enable us to remember scripture - ALL FREE FOR YOUR PERSONAL PLAYLIST or FOR YOUR CHURCH. What could be more important to your church than that ? We ought (also) to ...be singing songs which teach us about such things as God's will, fruit of the spirit, God's grace, His wisdom, His perfect timing etc etc etc When we sing to praise Jesus we must also sing songs which teach us about the example of Jesus for our lives. 22.01.2022 THY WILL TRULY DONE reminds us that when we pray we should always try to pray as Jesus would pray in the certain hope that if we do our prayers will be answered ; for God's will is exemplified for us in the perfect example of Jesus

Perhaps you can play a part in making a difference at your church.
