24.01.2022 Hi Preschool families, We want you to know that we have our Home Library bags ready to collect and enjoy. A chance to do have some lovely family time while reading some books to your preschoolers. We ask you return the book bags in a timely manner so other families can enjoy the stories too. Jacki explains more in the short video.

24.01.2022 Preschool's digging patch has seen some upgrades. We now have bricks and river rocks (loose Parts)for children to plan and create imaginative spaces. We used our metal spades to "dig to China" and made mud into concrete to build walls. After all this hard work the children said they needed to knock off for "Smoko". Yes, your children come home dirty but this loose parts play develops a pleasure for shared learning, cooperation, problem solving and hard physical work. Well done workers, Preschool reno's next!

23.01.2022 Hi Preschool Families! We are on school holidays from the Monday 28th September to Friday 9th October. We will see you all when we return for Term 4!

22.01.2022 http://www.in-their-shoes.com.au/scenarios/scenario-nine/ This is just a nice reminder that sometimes when we give children too many choices, it can overwhelm them. So its' OK as parents to limit children's choices.

22.01.2022 A BIG THANK YOU to the Grade 5 Students and Mr. C from Lavington Public School. Kobe donated a wonderful children's desk to Preschool on behalf of the Grade 5 children. It is in the Preschool Foyer for anyone wanting to admire the wonderful craftsman's skills of these Grade 5 students. The children will love using this "big school" desk. Thanks Kobe, Addison and Koen

22.01.2022 We are starting the enrolments for 2021. Contact the office if you are wanting a form. Hand your forms back to the office quickly, as we would hate you to miss out on a position in 2021.

20.01.2022 Don't forget your enrolment forms for next year. They are due back next Friday! We currently have a long waitlist. If you don't bring your forms back we will assume you no longer want your position for 2021 at Ross Circuit Preschool. Thank you

20.01.2022 Hi Preschool families. Our next activity kit for those of you who are still at home is available to collect from the ramp in the car park as of Tuesday. Hope you enjoy making and talking about these grass heads together whilst you are away from preschool in isolation. Tamie explains more in this video.

19.01.2022 A reminder to all families in our 2021 groups to return your enrolment forms to the office. We all look forward to seeing you all next year

17.01.2022 Did you know... That for the past 44 years, your child's preschool has been managed by a group of enthusiastic and generous parents and interested community members. These people, often with little experience in committee management or children's services, have successfully guided the preschool over the years to continue the high quality, friendly and inclusive preschool that it is today. Each year, we ask parents and community members to nominate to be on our board of manag...ement. As a Not For Profit Preschool, we would not be where we are today, particularly with the challenges of 2020, without the board. This is a HUGE shout out to our Board. Thank you on behalf of all members. Here are some of the activities that the board are involved with throughout the year. See more

16.01.2022 Our next outreach activity is ready for collection from our preschool car park for our preschool friends who are still learning from home. Enjoy being colourful and creative with this chalk activities. The Library is still available and we still have some left over grass heads that would love a new home. If its raining, please come to the foyer to collect. Kylie and Archie explain more.

16.01.2022 Last week on Wednesday and Thursday, our 4 year old groups had an excursion to Wonga Wetlands. For some children this was their first time on a bus so that was super exciting! At Wonga we went on a bird walk and used binoculars to spot birds the children had a checklist to tick off as they saw the birds! We had a treasure hunt to find things like: spider webs, gum nuts, eaten leaves, worms, ants etc. We went on a bush walk to hunt for native animals, saw where a Coolam...on (vessel) had been carved by the Wiradjuri People many years ago and made Gunyas (shelters) out of reeds. We played a rubbish game where the children had to sort a pile of rubbish into the correct bin (red, green or yellow). The children investigated bugs in water and we learnt that certain bugs in water can mean that the water is very clean. Finally, the children used microscopes to investigate and look closely at items in the environment. The children enjoyed the excursion we had a few have a little nap on the bus on the way back to preschool! A BIG thank you to John and Tony at Wonga for their time and patience. The Children enjoyed spending the day with you.

04.01.2022 From the 27th May to the 3rd June we celebrate National Reconciliation Week. Today, Ross Circuit Preschool showed our commitment to building relationships and building a community which value and celebrate our First Nation's people. This year's theme was "In This Together". At 12o'clock today we particpated in the National Acknowledgment of Country, paying respects to our local Wiradjuri community in English and Auslan.

03.01.2022 We have been loving Ninja Warrior in Purple Group over the last few weeks. With the Grand Final of Ninja Warrior happening on Monday night, we held our own Ninja Warrior competition on Tuesday. The children had to complete the course in their own fastest time. The top 5 competitors raced again, with an extended section to see who would be crowned the Ross Circuit Preschool Ninja Warrior for 2020.
