19.01.2022 Our response to yesterday's announcement by Northern Midlands Council. Thank you everyone for your support.

19.01.2022 It's great to be getting support from our Lyons Politicians. Jen Butler MP spent yesterday morning talking to the community and checking out the pool with Community Sports Club President Christine Robinson. Last week Federal Member Brian Mitchell MP spent a couple of hours in Ross discussing the future of the pool with residents. ... We have also received a letter of support on behalf of Premier Gutwein from Minister for Local Government Mark Shelton MP. Rebecca White MP Leader of the Opposition and Tasmanian Labor sent a letter of support and also wrote to the Council on our behalf. Thank you all for your time, your interest and support for the Ross Community. #SaveRossPool Brian Mitchell Federal MP for Lyons Mark Shelton MP Rebecca White MP Jen Butler MP

17.01.2022 Tune into ABC TV news tonight at 7pm for the story on Tasmania's endangered regional swimming pools.

16.01.2022 Norther Midlands Council convened community consultations kicked off in the form of an open forum public meeting at the Ross Town Hall tonight giving the fifty five residents who attended the opportunity to share their feelings and vent their concerns at the prospect of the Council disposing of their pool. The meeting convener from consultancy firm Watershed Solutions made it clear that in this day and age there is no such thing as "business as usual", but by focusing on the ...positives, being proactive and not wasting this opportunity, a committed community and Council working together could see the community enjoying the benefits of the swimming pool for many years to come. Residents were urged to work together and come up with a plan that will make it happen. ANY IDEAS? Thank you all for attending and your input at the meeting. #saverosspool

15.01.2022 In case you missed this great editorial in the latest Northern Midlands Courier. See you at the Public meeting on Monday 19 October 2020 at 6.30 pm. to SAVE OUR POOL. #saverosspool

15.01.2022 ******** CALLING ALL ROSS RESIDENTS ********

12.01.2022 This is great news. We look forward to working with the Council on the best outcome for all communities in the Northern Midlands.

09.01.2022 Fantastic to have the support of Bakery 31, especially the staff who are donating their tips to help fund the Ross Community Swimming Pool. Next time you need a coffee break, think of Bakery 31 and thank the very generous ladies behind the counter for their great service and their support for the community.

08.01.2022 The September Newsletter has been distributed around Ross and is reproduced here for those living further afield. Congratulations to the mighty Sport's Club Darts Team who gave the star studded Campbell Town Golf Club team some scares before going down gallantly on Tuesday night. The doubles Queen 'Karen the finisher' showed the experts how to throw a double to win a tight match and send a message to all opponents....Bring it on!!

07.01.2022 IT"S ON! PUBLIC MEETING, Ross Town Hall. 19 October 6:30pm - 8pm. Now is the time to stand up and be counted if we want to SAVE ROSS POOL. Don't think for a minute it's going to be easy to convince the Council to keep our pool open when they're making statements like this:... "The main challenges for us are maintenance, compliance, meeting needs and expectations, and funding. We are unable to continue to duplicate the significant funds required to cover the significant and ongoing costs of upkeep, maintenance, and improvements." The Media Release can be found here https://www.northernmidlands.tas.gov.au//northern-midlands If you can find the online survey form, please let us know. #SaveRossPool

06.01.2022 This is great news!

06.01.2022 Happy to help promote this cause.

05.01.2022 WOW! This is fantastic. Over $200 in 2 months and rising.

04.01.2022 A huge thank you to the forty two #SaveRossPool supporters, including five dogs, who turned out at the pool for the ABC production about endangered pools in Zeehan, Queenstown Rosebery and Ross. It may be going to air this weekend or next. Stay tuned.

02.01.2022 The club reopened today for the first time in six months with a free sausage sizzle and it was great to welcome forty members including some new faces, young families and the usual suspects. Was a bit of a learning curve working with the Covid-19 restrictions but it proved we can do it and can continue opening on Sunday afternoons 3.30- 6pm and start planning to cater for future events.
