23.01.2022 Rosskin sale bulls are averaging 895kg coming out of a hard winter and have seen a few drought seasons. Exceptional weight gain on these bulls been on a light oat crop since early June, were abiding be all Covid rules today and plenty of warm food and refreshments.

This goes to show the bloodlines keep breeding chosen structured cattle for our region. Strict criteria and emphasis is placed on the fundamentals on temperament, foot structure, phenotype, performance and raw data. We use EBV’s as a guide and have noticed that if you chase figures your cattle will slip 2 generations, this is currently research proven. We breed cattle that we are proud to look at in the paddock, hence why we have used some powerful bulls that have the growth and profitability for, the Monaro environment.

21.01.2022 First show for the year with 2, 17 month old bulls at the local Dalgety show. Junior and reserve champion with grand champion and supreme exhibit. Excellent turn out in the stud section after some challenging times on the Monaro and south coast. Was a well run cattle show and thanks to everyone efforts for the day.

We believe would fit into any of the top know Angus studs that breed the phenotype and fundamentals of seed stock cattle we aim to chase and wouldn’t look out of place! Definitely a hidden secret and at least 50% of the draft are heifer bulls in a larger frame score with extra weight, muscle and performance in a easy doing type. 13.01.2022 It’s with great sadness we had to cull down to 20 sale bulls for our up coming on property sale in September due to the current season on the Monaro. We pride ourselves on the bulls we put up year in year out. Rosskin Angus clients have topped many sales in the south east of the state over many years, as we choose too stick to the conventional way of breeding seed stock. Please View below a sample of 20/21 month old sale bulls that were weighed on 19/4/2020 at 818kg average. The open day is going ahead for people to see how good these bulls stand up in the flesh they really speak for themselves. Numbers have been decreased this year because we have made the tough decision along with many long time clients with drought to cut back on numbers. Next year sale numbers will be increased.
