25.01.2022 Prototyping a lounge chair for a client, things are never perfect the first time - small details and construction methods reveal themselves to be altered for the final product.
23.01.2022 Super thankful to be featured in Issue 133 of @housesmagazine which came out earlier this month. Thanks so much to @cassiehansen_ for the fortuitous meeting & kind recommendation and @leanneamodeo for the beautiful write up - much appreciated! 22.01.2022 This is solid birds-eye Blackwood, split and bookmatched to become the top for an elegant, refined desk. @curlytimbers is not only a wealth of timber knowledge and conservation but a supplier of some of the most beautiful native timbers you’ll ever see. Local supply is always the best.
20.01.2022 The Bauhaus - arguably the most influential art school of the 20th century. These photos were taken from a trip in 2016, when I ventured out to Dessau, Germany to experience it for myself. The ideas that were explored at the school have become central to my work and business; to highlight the importance of practical forms of art and craftsmanship and to reunite the relationship between fine art and functional design. @ Geelong, Victoria

05.01.2022 Proud to announce that this piece has been selected as a finalist for the Victorian Craft Awards in October. To be selected along with some of Melbourne finest furniture designers and craftsman is quite humbling. The exhibition is on from the 19th October to the 30th November at Craft Victoria in Melbourne. @ Craft
04.01.2022 There’s still a fair bit of work left to do, but things are starting to take shape on the writing desk that I have been working patiently on for a fair while now. The galley drawers are what sit atop the desktop, ready for runners and curved fronts. Nerves of steel veneering that amazingly beautiful Ebony hopefully due for polish in 3-4 weeks. @ Geelong, Victoria
03.01.2022 I have been pretty quiet on the socials lately; amidst the unfolding calamity that is 2020 it’s hard to know what to say. I have been lucky enough to be steadily working on projects which I will share soon. In the meantime, be kind and patient and follow all the regulations. The most important people in my life, and many other peoples lives, are out on frontlines. Look after them by doing the right thing. Here is a pic of my new van (shadowfax 2.0) being dutifully guarded by Floyd the Greybeard.
02.01.2022 A few progress shots of the writing desk coming together. Have spent the best part of yesterday and today with the inlay on the legs. The legs are turned & tapered but there is a another section on the diagonal outward part of the leg that is cut flat, also on a taper. To bring attention to this detail I’ve added the inlay in a design that compliments the theme that will run throughout the desk build. Ebony and Huon pine. @ Geelong, Victoria
