13.01.2022 Congratulations to 1st XVIII Captain Xavier Tranfa and 1st XI Soccer midfielder Noah Blazeka who were last night named Adelaide's best Div 1 players for their respective codes. Xavier was presented with the James Gosse Medal for the Fairest and Best Player in the Open A1 AFL Competition, while Noah received the SAAS 1st XI Best and Fairest Medal. The brilliant showing at the Sports Association for Adelaide Schools' awards night demonstrates, yet again, the great depth of sporting talent at Rostrevor.

10.01.2022 The wonderful brotherhood at Rostrevor has an even deeper meaning in Mr Vlad's Pastoral Care class, which was home to six sets of brothers this year. We have already bid some of the young men farewell, but look forward to welcoming many more brothers to Rostrevor in 2021.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to all our Year 12 students on their exceptional SACE results released today. Special mention goes to Rostrevor College Dux for 2020 Giovanni Elias who achieved an ATAR of 99.9 and our Proxime Accessit Thomas Hill (99.8). Giovanni and Gianni Bergamin (99.7) are also congratulated on their Governor’s Commendations the first time that two Rostrevor students have been awarded this prestigious prize. 09.01.2022 Talented Yr 12 musician Dylan Matthews has written and produced this wonderful song and video in tribute to the grandfather he never met. His poppa, Corporal Bruno Adamczyk, was a Rostrevor Old Scholar who died in battle at just 22 in Vietnam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEzuQ4SjhZk As part of their Year 12 SACE Music studies, students are required to write and record their own song. Dylan's lyrics to In Your Memory were performed by a close friend of the Matthews family, Old Scholar Michael Evans ('81), and recorded in Rostrevor's exceptional recording studio. It is an incredible achievement and a fitting tribute to share with the Rostrevor community on Remembrance Day. Today, our students wore poppies and observed a minute's silence at our annual Remembrance Day assembly.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 9 Lucas Parletta who is making a name for himself in the challenging field of Clay Target Shooting. On the weekend, 14-year-old Lucas won the B Grade State Title and the Overall State Title (on handicap) against 150 of the State's top shooters and several champions from around Australia. After a clean score of 50/50, he had a shoot off with one of SA's open-age champions, to win the event. Younger brother Stefen (Yr 7) also competed strongly in the championships.

07.01.2022 In the whirlwind of a sudden College closure, special thanks go to Boarding House staff Eugene and Pam who ferried several of our Eyre Peninsula boarders to Port Augusta yesterday to rendezvous with their families, thereby reducing the length of the drive for those regional families ahead of the midnight State lockdown. The young men themselves looked pretty happy to be heading home.

01.01.2022 For nine years, Mr Bill Trewartha's name has been synonymous with Cricket at Rostrevor. He has led many First XI sides to victory and helped develop young players into serious contenders in the sport at State and National level. Saturday's home match against St Michael's will be Mr Trewartha's last appearance as First XI Coach, although he remains an integral member of Rostrevor College's Leadership Team. Past players and Rostrevor's broader cricket fraternity are invited to attend the match at 12 noon on Big Memorial Oval. The A-Grade Old Scholars are playing on The Main at 1pm.
